I have spent some considerable time working on my inner game. I have read articles, listened to audio on the internet, watched NLP videos on puatraining dot com (since I am not allowed to post URLs yet) on how to get rid of approach anxiety.

So I decided it was high time I tried the newbie mission, because frankly I was getting bored of sitting around all day watching videos. So I went to Meijers (i needed food anyway) and attempted it. It was highly disappointed because there was hardly anyone there. Mostly middle aged people. I did smile and say hi, and people generally smiled back. I only did that to a few people though, because the store was almost completely desolate. So I decided to go elsewhere, and went to the mall.

This was a very target rich environment, there was lots of HB6s and 7s, and several HB9s. I smiled and said hi to lots of people, but for girls it was fairly difficult to even say that. I mostly ended up smiling and nodding, because I just couldn't get the words to come out.

An HB9 actually looked me straight in the eye and smile as I walked by, I smiled but unfortunately was unable to say hi. After that I got a huge boost of confidence. I realized that I was being stupid for not saying hi, and I did it without any trouble after that. I don't know what hit me, but for the rest of the night I was so high on life I couldn't get to sleep until 3:00. All I could think about is how good I am going to be in a short amount of time and what a bright future I have ahead of me. I seriously think if I spend some more time there I would have worked up enough balls to actually do an approach. It was a very weird experience.

Next week I am going to work on general conversational skills, then maybe I will actually do some approaching.

Can anybody tell me of some different missions I could go on to work myself up to number closes and such?

Number closes are too advanced right now and then you'd have to get into phone/text game and that's not really fun or rewarding by itself. I say your next mission is to get comfortable touching people, since I think kino is the most important tool in game. This is pretty easy. One thing you'll do is if someone is in your way, firmly place your hand on their shoulder and say excuse me as you ever so subtly push them out of the way. That's if the opportunity comes up.

Your primary mission will be to ask someone for directions somewhere. If a girl has a shopping bag from The Gap, stop walking, make eye contact, say, Hey, Excuse me, but I can you tell me where The Gap is? While she gives you direction, get a little bit into her personal space, put a hand on her shoulder or back, whatever seems casual, and repeat the directions she gives you like you're really confused and really concentrating on what she's saying. Just get a feel on what kind of touching is totally under the radar, that's really socially acceptable. You can even fire off a BS story about why you need to get to this place, it might start a full out conversation. This might even be easier than a newbie mission because you're actually talking to people for a reason.
