It was a long table, so its not like they were trying to talk to us or anything. they both just got off work from the bar we were at and were sitting down for some food. We started some small talk, but it wasn't really going anywhere. Anyways, i didn't really wanna use some tactics because they were sitting down and eating so if it failed i didn't want to awkward for the rest of the time. Also, my friend hasn't read any pua material so he could potentially mess up my game. basically what i want to know is what should i have done? should I have tried to game while risking the awkwardness if I failed and had to sit next to them until our bill was paid, or should I have just kept it chill. Any recommendations will be useful _________________ work hard, play harder!

If you already weren't saying much to them how would it have become more awkward if you messed up the set and ended up not talking to them after? at least youu wouldn't regret not trying. also, something is only awkward if u make it awkward.
If your friend is an afc than he probably wouldn't mess up anything anyway. You got to always sieze the opportunities before you. even if you'll most likely fall flat on your face, thats part of being a pua. you must always try! No more excuses, only success is in your future.
