Last night I was playing wingman for one of my friends. This guy is a master student of PUA (far more than I am), but his experience in the field is limited. As is mine, but I'm better looking than he is so I agreed to tag along with him.
Anyway, we both attempted the 3 Second Rule in the first bar that we went to but he's about as good at thinking on his feet as a chicken so that didn't work so well. A lot of random "Hi"s without going any further.
Anyway, then he had an idea. We decided to simply give ourselves some more time by turning the 3 second rule into the 7 seconds or less rule. And you'd be surprised how much four extra seconds allows you to think on your feet without allowing time for negative thoughts. And it worked - he took a HB8 home (on Easter Monday, no less) and I got to spend my whole night getting free drinks of gay guys (long story) when my sole aim had been to get pissed anyway.
So has anyone ever tried anything similar or do you all swear by the 3 second rule?

But if I did I would use 7 seconds, it gives you time to decide if your attracted to them or not, apprenlty your mind takes 3 seconds to do this. Then you have 4 long seconds to think of your opener. _________________ Live Life in the Positive
