Ok saw a 2 set. one hot babe and one average looking obstacle. I went in there with my opener, which was something like "hey guys, quickly cos i have to catch up with my friends, can you settle a debate im having... is it ok for guys to wear skinny jeans?"

Me wearing skinny jeans, said "ahh I can't even talk to you" (playfully) and i turned my back a little bit on her and faced the obstacle. And the obstacle said "Yeh i think skiiny jeans is cool". "Ah you're my favourite" (turning my back on obstacle more) Then the target left the set completely and i ended up sarging the obstacle and kiss closing after 10 minutes. Fuck it why not!

How could i have improved my sarge on the hot babe?

nice play on with the obstacle. did the target leave right away? thats kind of odd mayb if u gave the target some more attention. if she was REALLY attractive like 9 or 10 u shoulda thrown in that "wow u can dress her up but cant take her out at night" sort of thing otherwise asked her y she doesnt like skinny jeans on guys rather than saying u cant talk to her then quickly conversing with the obstacle so she doesnt leave

Yeh she left straight away. really annoyed as I was pleased with the execution of the neg, but it didnt give me a chance as she left so soon.

Now that ive kissed the obstacle - do i have a chance with the target in the future? (she saw us kissing) and what would be the procedure in sarging her?

If she saw you guys kissing, chances are you shouldn't talk to the initial Target. Considering girls tend to be really tight-nit with each other, the Obstacle would probably prove to be a problem if you did try to sarge the Target again.

Or...

The Target might think more of you, watching you kiss DHV her friend. Either way, the save you made with the Obstacle propped you up from a potential failed attempt.

I like a lot of Mystery & Style's stuff, but Style's false time constraint idea coupled with Mystery's preference for awkward and contrived openers are probably the weakest element of those "Methods." Maybe their game is more about nailing dumb bimbos. If I was those girls I'd be like WTF are you talking about and why should I care? Call me a cynical New Englander, but here's my thinking:

False time constraint is suppose to lessen the anxiety for the girls in the set that an approaching guy is going to hang on them all night, but to me it just shows that you're a hit and run artist - in to deliver the line and gauge the reaction like a kid running up behind a girl in the playground and spooking her. If I'm that girl, I don't know you and I don't care if you have friends waiting for you. And if you come up to me asking an inane question about Elvis's hair or Ghandi's legal training why should I give a fuck about you? Natural openers are much better - they take a lot more thinking-on-your-feet, but I just can't deliver a crap line like "Did you know that... ?(insert retarded pop culture reference)." If you get a set really cooking, then you could use a false time constraint as a kind of reverse shit test. Then if they beg you to stay then you can reward them with your presence.

Many of the "methods" out there only focus on the guy and overlook or dismiss the reasons why women go out. When a girl makes a choice to go to a club, instead of her local knitting circle or to visit Grandma, they want to (in no particular order) check out cute guys, scope each other out to see where they fall in the pecking order of females, be in the "hip" place to be seen, and be entertained by the overall spectacle of the thing. If you're a guy, you can only fulfill a couple of those goals. If you're not a Chippendales model to be ogled at, then you are basically just a person in the crowd unless you're somehow entertaining to be around - part of the "spectacle". Granted, there are limits to being a trained monkey and I'm not saying that you should whip out a magic tricks at every turn, but there's something to be said for having a unique and interesting gambit that will make a girl's night memorable. Despite having successfully opened sets and #closed in only a couple of weeks of starting pickup, I don't think there is anything I've done that would make a girl think back "wow, that was a great night - I'll remember that night forever."
