| I just thought I'd post this field report on how, completely by accident, I gamed a girl before I even knew about game.
Last summer I was at the Irish equivalent of a summer camp. There was this completely fucked up kid there, so my friend(male-MF) and I started kidding around about gettin' one of the girls to seduce him. The next day he told me he'd found the girl, and introduced us(meet the HB, easily an 8 or 8.5). Strangely I had no intention of getting with her at all.
MF seriously believed she was gonna do the whole seduction thing, it was immediately apparent that she was only kidding around about it though. We talked about this when he wasn't around(shared conspiracy-type rapport builder) She said she'd do it for 20 euro.
Me:What, that won't even cover the banana costs.
HB:Bananas?(quizzical look)
Me:What? Dildos are expensive.
I should point out that this is quoted purely because it led to a recurring sexual theme in callback humour. She loved it.
As we fluffed I ended up accidentally using "you're hitting on me"-type roleplay, acting scared as opposed to cocky. I had this kind of nice-guy equivalent of the cocky-funny version of this going on, complete with faux-terrified facial expressions.
Finally, the third theme of callback humour. Every time she mentioned herself in any kind of situation that was any bit hot, I'd pretend to lose concentration for a minute. Anyone who saw Niles doing this(over Daphne) in the first few seasons of Frasier will know exactly what I am on about. This was dynamite.
Also, I was dressing impeccably. She told me I was the best dressed guy down there. Damn good DHV.
So that was attraction.
The Boyfriend destroyer:She mentioned her boyfriend early, probably in the first few minutes of interaction. Fortunately, she wasn't using him as a block(I still wasn't giving out a hitting-on-her vibe), but as part of a story. All you need to know is that at the end of the story she said "And then he wouldn't talk to me."(laughing). This gave my AFC self an opportunity to neg her(by questining her taste) and DLV her BF at the same time. I said "So why does your boyfriend sound like a six year-old?" A PUA shouldn't use this or he'd telegraph interest but within my nice-guy frame it was perfectly natural. Went down well.
Rapport and comfort:I liked one of her friends. Over the course of the camp's first 2 weeks she was trying to help me get with her(See, I still had no intention of hitting on her). This led to a lot of dancing together, cosy little talks, sharing etc. Still saw her as nothing more than a great friend(definitely the best female friend I have EVER had). In the end her friend had no interest. AFC-me was rather upset, but hid it perfectly. Comfort BUILT, while still using the callback humour to build attraction. Still had no intention of hitting on her.
The Tragedy:Next week she disappears for a weekend. In the meantime I got with someone else, K-closed and kinda committed. When HB got back her friend took me aside and told me she'd broken up with her boyfriend to be with me. Fuck, and I was with someone else, so I couldn't get with HB. FUUUUUCCCCKKKKK! A few days later we said goodbye and went back to where we live(different places).
Moral of the story:A nice-guy version of the game exists and nice guys may occasionally use it accidentally. However, without knowledge of what they're doing, they will often end up screwing themselves up badly and leave out key elements(in the above story, notice the absence of most Kino: occasional hugs and dances, but that was it.) Therefore, whenever you see a nice guy with a HB, just remember, he'll mess up eventually, and you'll be there waiting to snatch her up, give her the F-Close of her life and act like a real man.
