I'm intending to write a field report about a school/college party tomorow. I'm going to be going with a few mates who are also new to the community.

Background - New years party. Most of my year group will be there, this means a few fair hotties. I'm not one of the most popular guy by any means however I 'know' pretty much everyone and can hold a conversation.
I've read AFC Adam's ebook on principals of attraction and am currently reading the mystery method.

The plan - As soon as me and my boys enter we will open the adjacent set within 3 seconds and just strike up a conversation. (suggestions for a good opener would be nice). Then set a false time constraint (I've got to go find X in a minute). After a few minutes will move on to the next set and so on, until the room has been covered. (This is with the expectation of building up our social proof *see Adam lyons - mere exposure effect*)
After enough social proof has been generated I will reopen a set with a potential target in DHV and shotgun neg her and will continue talking to the other people in the group. Switch attention to her. Isolate. And further build attraction (i'm assuming i will already have established comfort by knowing them). Then kino escalate.

Will put up the field report tomorrow! Feel free to critique plan and give advice it would be much appreciated (even the little things help )

hmmm... for an opener... i've heard tons of good ones on here... and you do realize that its not magically gonna make them like you... but it helps and the one thing you need is confidence or you'll just look like a fag. try the "hey im sorry, wait scratch that, im not sorry, but i lost a bet with my friends and now i have to hit on the hottest girl here *smile and pause momentarily* would you ladies mind helping me find her?" then when your finished with that set, have any girl in that set introduce you to the next set... i've only done this once but its almost immaculate. i wanna hear a field report if you do this.

Special openers are completely and totally unnecessary at college parties. You do not have to entertain groups or rush to the "hook point." You are expected to be socializing A TON at college parties. No one will feel weird at all if you just walk up, say "How's it going?" and hang out for a bit. In my opinion, you shouldn't even bother with time constraints because no one is thinking, "How long will this guy stay here?" Plus, you do not want the reputation that using PUA material brings in college (I am specifically talking about MM stuff).

In clubs and other non-house party types of situations, sure, special openers and MM routines are great, but they are of no use at a house party.

Ok guys i've taken your advice on board I don't think i'm gonna use a specific opener or anything. I wont be using time contraints (unless its getting late and the taxis coming ).
I don't really use any routines if i'm honest i just like to talk about interesting things
One thing I have definitely been considering and as Simply_Slick mentioned is set merging and the use of pawns.

Simply_Slick I may well use your opener in mid-game however FR will be up sometime tomorrow.

As soon as i got to the party I began socialising, opened various sets and worked my way around the rooms before going and talking to my boys.

I started drinking. (Not too much although I did take a big hit on the beer bong, we figured it would attract attention and bring a certain amount of kudos ).
Although this wasn't as successful as we'd hoped it did give me a nice buzz and i continued opening sets, being alpha and otherwise just being sociable.

I identified my first target, a HB9. I went over confident;
Me - Does anyone have any booze (i gave all mine away)
Her - Ermm... I'm not sure, here take this (gives me can of guinness and walks off)

I decided to let this slide and carried on socialising. I approached her later that night and managed to get a hug out of her although it was obvious she wasn't comfortable. She leant her upper-body forward kept her rear behind. I took her up on it and she said it's cos i get really horny when i'm drunk

Opened my second target a HB8.5 and her friends HB5 and HB6. Started talking to her friends negged her about her 'energy' and how her friends just had a better vibe. Also found out that she wanted to do dentistry negged her about that (boring blah blah, don't you need good teeth? )

She asked for some of my drink. Figuring this was a 'hoop' for me to jump through I gave it her on the condition of a hug and kiss afterwards. Hug, Kiss both cheeks. Things were going nicely until her friends got all protective and tried to lead her away. I acted like I didn't care and left.

Came back to her later that night with more social proof (she'd seen me with a couple of girls of my arms more than once and had given me plenty of IOI's). I got my wing involved. He took care of her friends which enabled me to semi-isolate and just talk to her privately. I further negged calling her a pussy for wanting to kiss me yet not doing it and told her I thought she was the type of person that didn't need her friends approval first. She replied with 'yeah but there's a crowd'. Took her by the hand and lead her outside. K-close, #-close. Rejoined the party.

In between the times I had a 3rd target a HB8.5 with her friends also. No opener just approached real confident, didn't neg much to be honest. Tried to the run the cube routine another guy came halfway through and began taking the piss. I ignored him then gave my rubbish interpretations (first time doing routine). AMOGed him cut him out sliding closer to the target and turning my back to him thus isolating him. Worked a treat, he left.
I used a line similar to the kiss one mentioned earlier, (props to jaywa, stole it off his thread). "Look I know you want to kiss me so just do it" she laughs more IOI's.
I take her by the hand and lead her into the adjacent room saying I think I left something in there K-close, #-close.

Things I learnt:
- Be persistent
- Have the confidence to say what you think, chicks dig it.
- Having a good wing is very useful especially for isolation.
- Canned material works, just make it your own
- Control how much you drink, too much = bad game
- Most importantly, enjoy yourself. Infect others with it.

After reading your "Things I learnt" section, I feel the need to clarify on my previous post.

There is a time and place for canned material--even in house parties. But not all routines/tactics are appropriate at all times. At house parties, do not be afraid to use C/F lines or similar canned material (you can even use opinion openers, though I suggest you use them during mid-game). Go ahead and tell (some) DHV stories if that is your style.

But do not be the guy reading palms or doing The Cube. This will often get you labeled as weird--sometimes even creepy. And "weird" is a bad label to have in college. In fact, it is a bad label to have in any closed system where social value stays with you for any period of time.
