so i was at this dance party thing my college was holding, and a bunch of my buddies and i met up with some girls we had talked to earlier. one of them flooded me with IOI's so i followed up. everything was going well, we were dancing very close, i knew what her intentions were and likewise but i still didn't feel it was a done deal. we took a break and walked over to one of the dorms to meet up with some more people. on the way i tried to play it cool and talk to one of her friends to draw some more attention to myself. i started flirting with her friend and instantly the girl i was dancing with turned into a mega bitch. i went back to her, grabbed her hand and she shoved me away. i asked her what was up and she just "go for it man" (referring to the other girl). i replied with "are you serious?". she kept this up. later when we were back at the dance i went up to her and was like "this is stupid, just dance with me" and she still blew me off. by then i was totally gone, my game was destroyed and i felt like shit. i'd appreciate any comments

You should have kept it up with the other girl.. she turned into a bitch which automatically got you to pay more attention to her.. it was a shit test. You came back and now she knows she has higher value.
Next time let the girl be a bitch.. go have fun with the other girl
She'll eventually come back.. make her work for attention

Also, be aware that this stuff is very powerful. It is hard to gauge how "invested" a girl has become in you. I try to use my feelings somewhat on this, and be very very alert as to how she is responding to the slightest change in the wind of my performance.

This may not have been your situation but I think there are times when we don't know how much we have just done psychologically to a girl and play it off that she was a bitch when really she is crushed for being so vulnerable to you and then have you flirt with another.

Again, not referring to you, but I think the real PUAs don't feel they need to F-close every girl they meet and that girls are like soufflés where if you take them out of the oven too soon the deflate leave them in too long and you get burned "Friends".
