I promised to post a field report for last night so I'll do that now, hope you'll enjoy.

Most of my style is direct game, though I use a lot of role-playing. The reason for that is due to the comfortableness it creates.

I'll brake it down a bit until I start on my report:

There is pro's and con's with role-playing.

Pro's:
- Creates a comfortable setting.
- Allows you to go a lot more direct without freaking out the person.
- Speed up the pick-up if done right.

Con's:
- Very dependent on being in-character.
- Fine line when breaking out of it between freaking the person out or create an emotional experience.
- Quite hard to learn to use effective.

Anyways, this was my night out:

Me and some friends started out with a vorspiel before heading out to a disco. There was a lot of people there, but it's a sick difference between girls and guys. For every two girls there is 7-8 boys, making up a lot of competition.

My first approach was after the entry of the disco where I headed outside to take a smoke. There I saw a girl smoking so I decided to go and talk to her.

I tapped the girl on her shoulder and she turned around to me.
Me: Hey, what do you like best, lunch or dinner?
Her: Uhm, lunch I believe, why do you ask?
Me: Well, you see, there is a really cute girl that I'd like to ask out, but I am not sure what I should propose.
Her: Well, I'd go with lunch probably, it makes it more comfortable.
Me: Ok, would you like to go eating lunch with me?:)
Her: *Laughs*
Me: Wow, I made you laugh, now you owe me 50 kroner. (6 euros there'about)
Her: *laughs* I owe you money for that?
Me: Well, either that or lunch on Monday. That's up to you.
Her: Well, I'll take the lunch then:)
Me: Ok, give me your number and I'll give you a call.
Her: Sure thing, have fun.

Well, that was my first approach that night which ended in a #-close. I could probably have gotten further by saying something a long the lines of:
- One thing though, I want to get an impression of how you would be at lunch, and I found the best way is with a dance, join me;)

That didn't occur to me at the time though, so I just moved on.

After this approach I joined my friends for a couple of beers inside and went out on the dance-floor.

There I saw a couple of girls dancing and tapped one of them on the shoulder. She turned around and encountered me just staring into her eyes. She kinda froze, with just looking back so I grabbed her hand and spun her around. As she was done I put up a smile and moved her close and danced a bit with her, kissed her neck and pushed her away. She moved back in close shortly after showing that she'd like to be kissed again, so I did. But on her mouth, so we made out for a bit before I headed out.

After this it was close to closing-time and we decided to go to a nachspiel at a friend's house, but I was too drunk at that time, and instead headed back home to get some sleep.

Well, that was probably the things worth mentioning of the night, all though I should have done better in my opinion.
