Im down here in little old New Zealand, anyway got burnt by a long term relationship fairly recently and was sitting round home feeling sorry for myself untill i thought fuckit read the game and headed out for my first sarge last night.

In the past i had always done the typical AFC openers with varying degrees of success. So tell me how you think i did last night. Hit the first bar around 10pm got a drink sipped it scoped out the scene picked up my balls and opened first set with an opinion opener SUCCESS conversation flowed nicely after that plenty of smiles from me and her. After about 10 mins i excused myself to move on to another set, last night i just wanted to open as many sets as possible to get my mojo back.

Anyway hit a few more bars every set i opened went well ! Toward the end of the night after opening about 6 sets i was dealing with a 7 and said "hey its been nice chating but i have to go now" passed her my phone and she entered her number. I was like "cool thanks, catch up next week sometime maybe?" she said "oh im busy next week" i smiled and said no worrys well maybe i'll text you and shes like 'cool'

WTF? we talked for like 30mins and she gave me a few IOI's etc and gave me her number but said that!? Im a little confused do you guys think i should bother following her up and if so, when?

Dont ask her if its ok to catch up with her next week. TELL her that it was nice talking to her that YOU are busy next week but you will TRY and find time to catch up with her sometime next week.

Yes continue to persue, in the end the worst that happens is you learn from your mistakes. I suggest keeping a personal 'sarge' journal. Helps me remember key elements as well as looking at the later you my notice something you didn't before.

How long to wait? Well this is how i generally run it. SUPER good connection and vibe, I will follow up with an sms later that night. Very brief conversation, leave her with something different to remember you by follow up the next day. anything in the middle gauge on the interaction and how long you think she will remember you, gut feeling kinda. Usually 2 or 3 days in these cases, let them get back to their boring lives and then remind them how fun you are.

Yep - I agree with driberif. Definitely pursue this until the end (i.e. you close or get blown out).

It might be painful but it's the best way to learn
