So, I have this friend who knows loads of people and so he had introduced me to another guy who was having a barbecue so off we go for a night out with him and his girlfriend and 2 other friends(both girls).

So, get to the barbecue and am introducing myself. I thought that this would be a nice way of showing a bit of confidence.
Immediately, see target, brunette, 9.5. She is talking to her friends and I make some comments about her with my friend to the effect that she was the BOMB, amazing guys and wearing some form fitting clothes to make you want to take her to the bathroom and get it on there and then!!!

So, in a little while, she and her friends walk past and now I can approach pretty good, I say, "hey, do you work in a school?" she is like looking at me as if to say "who the heck are you?" I was scared shitless, I shit you not, but it is a party where most people know each other so anyhow she says "well, yes I do" This was a real wild card but as lucky as hell cos I work in a school, my mate was winking at me and so I was talking to the babe largely fluff talk for a few minutes and she was saying how she had been laid off that same day so she was up for getting tanked. (this was bullshit cos she didnt really drink much)

Then my mate comes in and starts taking the conversation off my hands. I am thinking, you bastard!! anyway, this guy is really good talking and within minutes has her laughing and giving him major IOIs I was feeling jealous as fuck and pissed because I had kinda approached her first.

He is 4 yeas younger than me, I am 38, and he has the slick job working as a civil servant and also he is a national referree, so the babes over here love that, and is a major DHV for them and also he is drinking so I just couldn't seem to get the conversation back. God, i felt pretty shit in that moment.
in fact I made a few comments which pretty much went ignored. God it was so fucking annoying after I had made the effort to approach and it had gone so well.

Anyways, some more people arrive and there is this blond looking pretty slick so I go over again, and open. I get to social hook
Here I am the foreigner, cos everybody else is Spanish and so I was asking a few silly questions here and there in English and was getting a laugh. This occasion my mate doesn't AMOG me but the blond after a few minutes ejects after having complimented me on my speaking Spanish so well. again no joy.

I just didn't feel that I was creating attraction. Especially with the brunette, it was like while my mate was there I just faded into the wallpaper. I might as well have been a fly on the wall, I could have gone back and restarted the conversation but she had shown zero interest and I felt sure that my mate if he hadnt have had his girlfriend there could easily have closed.

I was also getting IOIs from this older babe who asked to have her photo taken with me. I wanted to close but felt kinda conspicous just getting my phone out and say punch in some numbers. But looking back, I should have got talking to her again and said hey, it has been cool talking with you, pop in your number here. Again so as not to feel awkward I didn't go for the close.

My block is I just don't create enough attraction and my conversations just aren't interesting enough. Maybe I come off as nice but certainly not hot stuff to the chics. Something I need to work on. Also I need to practise going for that number close and not treat it as such a big deal.
