So I went to a frat party earlier tonite, n i met this chick thats visiting from georgia. I used a situational opener because I had just done a keg-stand and I moved in for the kill from there. Her ex-boyfriend was at the party and he tried his hardest to be the AMOG, it definitely did'nt work tho n she was still diggin me, I neg'd her a lil bit and returned a lil later, needless to say she was happy to see me. things were on the right track, n I gave her "the cube", she responded pretty well and was impressed at how I read her so easily, not to say that i told her it was a cold reading tactic, I had gotten her number earlier and was moments away from a K-close when her bitch friend came up and grabbed her by the arm and told her to "come with me real quick". I played this off with wat little pua knowledge I had and I said "whoa now I don't want you to miss me too much, I have that effect on girls when they are away from me for more than two minutes...." she laughed and said she'll be right back, however she didnt return because her friend made her leave the party.This is one of the worst cock-blocks that has ever happened to me. Any advice on ways to get around this next time?

Firstly, when you open a set, you draw your attention to the obstacles cause you have to neutralize them in order to proceed in c1. In your case, the obstacles were her ex-bf, and her friend. As for the bf, you did out-alpha him so he wasn't a threat, but you had to win her friend over too. You probably haven't paid enough attention to her and didn't DHV and throw your false disqualifyers at a time that her friend could notice, so she probably took away your target to "protect" her from u. All in all it is very essential to DHV and throw your negs when the whole set can notice them, in order for them to be comfortable later with the idea that u and the target like each other

i think you did all you could in this situation -

if you have no time with the friend to win her over and DHV to the friend, then you cannot win them over.

I could only guess that something happened to the friend that required the attention of your target straight away - so in this instance i am giving them the benefit of the doubt...

some sets just don twork - and even if you do DHV and esculate - you can not match a situation when a friend needs help form her friend (your target). - if this was the situation which is how i read it with the info that you gave...

here's what I do. When the drag away friend comes along, or your target says "Im going to the toilet (to never return because I need to show some type of ASD even though Im attracted)" - I just go "cool. Take my keys, phone" - anything to lock her in. Bring them back when you're done. This worked for me last week. She'll be all "wow look what he gave me" to the obstacle. And that will fuck up the obstacle. Then you can go on to talk about trust if alone with the target. Or ask to be introduced to the obstacle - its only polite. Then say we like each other is that cool. Dont we make such a cute couple. Do you mind if I borrow your friend for a second? DONE. peace

I definitely wouldn't give them anything of importance, but maybe a hat or something. Even just give her your drink to hold can be enough.
