First of all thanks to all of the people who have given me suggestions/feedback on my first field report (
field-report-need-feedback-vt3792.html), I got an overwhelming 0 responses which really helped me with my game. I knew you guys wouldn't leave a fellow rAFC in trouble. Anyway, on to the current field report.
I called that girl to invite her for some coffee, making sure that every single thing I showed portrayed confidence (Instead of asking if she wanted to go for some coffee, I told her "what time do you get off work?", "alright, come to starbucks to get some coffee with me afterwards"). I arrived to the place 5 minutes early to avoid the awkward "who's paying?" situation and ordered myself the coffee, while at it, I practiced some flirting with the starbucks employee, first asking for her opinion on the coffee telling her that I wanted something exotic, and then telling her that she better make my coffee special so I remember it, she laughed and told me that she'd try.
The girl calls me to tell me she can't find a parking spot nearby and will be a few minutes late (calling in advance about being late = IOI), I told her that I was the asshole that took the last parking spot in the area
. At this time a friend calls my cell, so I take this opportunity to use it as social proof. She comes and waves to me, and I wave back while on the phone. Then she tells me that she will go get herself a coffee and comes back, we chat for an hour, I challenge all her opinions, tease her and make fun of her. She seems to love it since she kept laughing the whole time.
Then some old guy comes up to us trying to be friendly, and starts his monologue for half an hour. Both of us sitting there pretending to be interested, and I feel like I should have pulled off a line like "You know it's been fun talking to you grandpa, but I need to get going", and ask the girl to give me a ride to escape from the old guy, but I was afraid that she might actually have been interested in his rambling, or that she would say "umm, your car is parked right there, 2 feet across starbucks" (I know, I shouldn't have pussied out). Anyway, she came up with rather sleek move herself. She told me and the guy that she needs to get going, and as she stood up, she asked me if I wanted to walk her to her car.
So we walked away as she told me that she really doesn't need to go anywhere (another IOI), then she offered a good bar in the area that she often goes to with friends. We went in, and I realized I had no cash on me (only credit cards), she told me that she would pay for me (cool). We then chatted some more, with me teasing her more and leaning back on my chair the whole time, so she would lean towards me to talk. She also kept touching me while talking (IOI, with 3 IOIs I should have went for the kiss, but I felt that I didn't kino her enough to attempt it).
So at this point I start touching her as well, except instead of just touches I would actually put my hand on her and let it rest there, she didn't object. We played a game of pool afterwards which I won without much effort, and then went outside. As we kept walking, I found a nice spot on a bridge over a river and stopped there. We continued talking, and then I teased her again for standing too far away from me, she moved closer and eventually I ended up with my hands around her as she was looking at the stars. Soon she told me that it's getting late and that she needs to get going. I slowly leaned in and gave her a kiss, and we started making out.
Then I told her I'd see her around, and we parted. She called me 10 minutes later to see if I got home safely (another IOI, not that it matters at this point). So yeah, aside from some minor flaws, I think I did pretty well, and actually proud of myself for pulling off great game on a chick 7 years older than me.
