I'm still kinda new at the game, took a break when I got into my first LTR. I've been dumped, and here's my first chance back in after recovering. Advice/critiques greatly appreciated.

Today/saturday

I'm in a band, and we were hired to play at a big car sale. there was also a band from the local university and they brought their dance team. a couple of the girls came over and started to talking to us. found a frisbee and threw that across the lot in between songs, I was just trying to be playful and social.

Later one of them came up to me and my friend, made small talk. Later she came back when I was alone and i asked her about dance and she asked about my drum playing.

we couldn't really interact between my band playing for people near the show room and her dancing for everyone that bought a car. but at one point we had a break. I walked over, finally got around to exchanging names. you know when girls meet someone they do that kiss-on-the-cheek hug. we did one of those and one of her friends asked if we knew each other. we pretended like we did, and then I asked her about cars since were at a car lot after all. She wanted this mitsubishi eclipse and I told were lets go for a test drive together.

Unfortunately the dealers were too busy so it never happened, couldn't really talk to her rest of the day, so as we were packing up I told her it was nice meeting her and i'd like to see her again, but it's to bad she wouldn't be at the event we were playing at tomorrow cuz she has to work.

Her: "I usually hang out by ______ building"

Me: " im not in school this semester, I work and don't hang out on campus much"

Her:" Well, come by ____ thursday night"

Me:" I think I can do that"

she kinda walked away and i though she was giving me the shaft, she actually went to get her cell phone.

I was to excited and nervous to remember how, but I said something to the effect of "i'd like to give you a call, but I don't have My cell with me". This was true, I left it in the car.

She took my number and said she'll text me. Then it was time for me to go.

This goes against my normal procedures for obvious reasons. I don't have her number unless she gives it to me. She is in control of whether we talk again or not.

Luckily by the time I got home there was a text from her waiting for me.

it read "hey its_____."

I thought a few minutes before responding with " cool, now that I have your digits, I can take you on that drive we were supposed to have".

decided to leave it there. she didn't respond

I think my next move should be to call her and set up a date right. I already know shes working tomorrow, sunday. should i wait till mon/tues?

advice welcomed, since I'm pretty new at things.
