| I'm not sure if this is the correct section or not but I feel I should report as it's a stage in my learning curve I've hit, I've only been into PUA for the last couple months now.
I have self-confidence but before I've never been able to just gear up the courage, use it and approach girls in Clubs etc. I was out the other week with my two buddys in the club, we were sitting down, one of them was a little upset because he just split up with his girlfriend. I tried to cheer him up and said stuff like 'look at all those girls in here, your single now, put your phone away you don't need it, you only need it for getting phone numbers Tonight.!' I asked him to pick any girl in the club and i'd get her number, now I was saying this to him as if I was a player, with a set of cards ready to play my game (it's all about believing in yourself right?)
He pointed to two attractive girls at the bar, without thinking about it, I stood up walked over and stood next to them at the bar, at my other side I meet a friend (girl) really not the best time I know!..I had to say hello to my friend but while she was getting a drink with her friend, i turned around and the two girls I was meant to be approaching were just about to go from the bar... I tapped her on the shoulder
ME: Excuse me'
Her: she turned around
ME: Can i ask you a question' ..As I asked this her friend kinda walked off giving her space!
Her: umm yeah ok
ME: Are you single'
Her: She replied with 'No' clearly straight away and the bitch shield went up'
Me: (I was aware that she could be lying and it's her defence talking) I should have said 'I'll take that as a Yes' but I ignored it and said 'OK, Well really it's not for me, I'm here because I know somebody who would like you and I think you'd like him'
Her: (Still with a serious face) 'No I'm not single'
Me: ..Well, Aren't you fed up with him yet?
Her: 'No'
Me:..I just stood back, gave eye contact and smiling.
She grinned a little and just walked off.
--- I wasn't prepared for her to say No, I feel I know where i went wrong, she also couldn't hear me, I wasn't loud or clear enough, she was in control of the conversation because of this and my body language was then poor from leaning in, which i know i shouldn't have done.
It's not really a success story in closing anything with a girl but it's a success in having the gut to approach the girl for me and reaching a new step, I would have never of done that but I need to keep the consistency, I need to approach more often.
