| I'm sure you've heard it all before, I certainly have. Apologies if this is in the wrong section.
The Facts:
* Met the girl about 2 years ago, recently she's moved more into my main group of friends.
* We see eachother around once a week, if that. It's been slightly more over the Christmas period.
* She's real cute!
Okay, so rewind back to the Summer, bear in mind we weren't really friends. More acquaintances, and I didn't really notice her. Gradually the eye contact became more and more occurrent, you know, a few lingering looks here and there.
Things sort of carried on like that until today, we spoke more and more and things generally escalated, albeit at a pretty slow rate. I became her first point of contact for arranging plans (rather than the friends I met her through).
So I'm starting to really like this broad, at the end of the day though she was a friend. Last night, NYE, we were out in the usual group, chilling around a house, went into the city to join in the celebrations and topped it off at a club. She's sitting on my lap (in a tiny skirt I might add, which made rubbing her thighs very easy indeed!), we're walking alone together, we're getting more and more close. Roll on around 5am and I think "fuck it, it's gone on too long now".
I grab her and tell her I want to take her out on a date. Well well well, she couldn't have said no quicker. It was as though she'd been expecting it (which might have been my problem). She didn't give a reason, I didn't really give her time to. I just sort of left and said we'll talk another day.
So then, you experienced lot! Cocktease (though she's totally not that sort of person)? Friend zone? Taken aback?
I currently have three ideas:
1. Go over there and say it pretty bluntly, no fucking around. "Look, I've been crunching the numbers and realistically your best bet is to give it a chance". Follow this up with "you can keep trying to reject me but I'll just keep asking".
2. Avoid her and the whole group for a while, see if jealousy/the void makes her want me.
3. Go back to being mates and having a laugh - I'd cut out all the closeness and try to return to being acquaintances (with the intention of literally just forgetting this one).
EDIT:
4. Demand a reason.
