I just recently tried to pick up a girl I've known for awhile on the internet. I cut to the chase and posted on her LJ:

Me: "How about you take me out on a date? No really seriously.
It could be like a blind date but with no confusion on whos going to pay for the night out, we can get it straightened out here, your paying for your part. If it goes horribly wrong, which it wont, it will at least be fun to joke about it with friends. Leave your number and I'll contact you when I'm free."

Her: Whyyyy nott. I think you should invite a friend and I'll bring Molly that way if it goes horribly ary, which it wont, we will have our friends; if you have anyone up for that. Either way 735-0793, if you do AIM its mrsjordncatalano

This wasn't really the response I was looking for, I probably got this because I didn't take any time on building rapport with her on the internet. It just seemed like a big waste of time flirting with her on LJ then jumping to the question.

Anyways, she wants to bring a friend. The friend happens to be someone who I really don't get along with. I dated the Molly girls best friend and Molly was a bitch to me. Also it could be a Molly that I screwed around with for a few weeks than ditched her like a bad habbit.

So what do you guys think? Is the friends thing just a cop-out? What would you do? What would be a good activity we could do? I really can't think of anything.

I'm having a hard time thinking if any of my friends would even be interested in going out with the molly girl as a double date. Also only one of my friends knows about the game so I would HAVE to count on him wanting to come, which he might not. Anyways it could be disasterouse if I bring a friend thats clueless to the game, instead of a good wingman.

UPDATE: After just posting this I asked myself how could this Molly girl be an advantage? I thought about how I could during the double date show more interest in this Molly girl, seem like I'm actually attracted to her, thus disarming my target.

don't lose hope so soon! First of all, she said yes, which means you got your foot in the door. If she didn't want to go, she would have said no. On the topic of who to bring for a friend, i wouldn't worry so much about who you bring. Just because the game works the best, that doesn't mean its the only way to play. Sometimes me and my wing step on each other(we're newbs but still) with our game. Whoever you bring explain to them why your brining them,(to distract/entertain the molly girl) and make sure they're not socially retarded. If they can contribute to a converstaion without dominating it(your job is to direct it) and will laugh at the right places in jokes and stories, you got a wing. Okay, next, the date. Notice that last word, this has been established as a date. Therefore, if you try to just "hang out" they might feel gyped. I would say a casual/serious meal like dinner at a red robin or low key restraunt. Just run a verbal game over the meal, entertain, joke, laugh, SMILE. Its easy to turn this situation into a good time just by running verbal routines. Also, don't be afraid to let the girls talk. If molly trys to go for your nuts, just smile, try to be witty, but don't turn the mood hostile. let it roll off you. its like my parents always used to tell me about my little siblings, if you don't give them a reaction(or the reaction they want) they'll get bored and stop. Good luck man, don't worry about your wing and remember, its your show.

(P.S. Also, on a somewhat alarming note, i hope thats not her real number and aim account. You don't know who looks at these things, and i would seriously try to avoid putting your or(especially) other peoples personal information on the internet.)
