(These both occurred on the campus of my extremely anti-social community college)

So I was strolling and saw this petite HB8 sitting alone on the wall of one of the garden things. I heard some voice on a megaphone and she was looking towards it, so when I was next to her I stopped and asked (without looking at her) "Who's talking?"
HB: I dunno, green party.
CTP: Oh, I hate those assholes

I turned to her, get her name, we shake hands, then I ask "from a female perspective, what's the difference between hot and cute?"
While she's discussing this, I sit down next to her. I ask her some questions about what she likes to do but she can't come up with anything - apparently all she does is go to school and sleep. So I decided to run the cube on her, and that was actually pretty interesting. Her cube was huge and made of marshmellows, and her horse was climbing up the ladder towards the cube. So I told her it means she has a huge ego but she's also very soft and sweet, and that she wants her ideal lover to be a friend first. I ran the strawberry field thing on her too and teased her on her answers. She seemed very impressed by both of these. Also, I think I was lucky and got social-proofed well because throughout the sarge, three of my friends separately strolled past and greeted me.

So I said "Well, I think I could use more marshmellows in my life. Give me your number and I'll give you a call some time." So she gave it to me, and then while I was leaving I did the finger pistols and clicking noise with the side of my mouth.

Later that day, I was with my buds and saw a nice-looking fair-skinned HB8 walking in the distance, so I said "be right back" and chased her down. When I was near, I said "hey, red shirt girl!" She turned around, I gestured down the path and said " I'm on my way out, but you're really beautiful, so I had to stop you to see if the rumors were true."
She giggled a whole ton and said "What rumors?"
CPT: That the more beautiful you are, the less interesting your personality must be. I calculate that you must be pretty boring.

So we fluffed a bit, she was giggly and happy the whole time but for some reason she could not qualify herself to me at all. I found myself trying really hard to get her to tell me something interesting but there was nothing. How am I supposed to give her an SOI if there's nothing for me to be interested in? So just as my large pack of friends were coming up behind me, I said "well, I guess the rumors are true. It was nice meeting you anyway though." I took her hand and twirled her around. For some reason, even then she was still very giggly and happy.

I guess I'm getting kinda better at this, now the girls just have to learn to not be boring dullards so I wont have to work so hard to find a real reason to be interested in them.

I forgot to ask... is there something I'm missing or doing wrong that's making them not want to even try to qualify themselves to me?

She didn't even tried to qualify to you after you said "I calculate that you must be pretty boring."? What did she or you said after that line?

Leave out "but you're really beautiful." You're already letting her know she's beautiful in your following line.

Maybe she was indeed very boring and you said the right thing I guess, but you've could get her number by saying something like: "Well maybe the rumors are true, but I don't want to believe them. Give me your number."

You're right, I probably could have done the cube on her as well and given an SOI based on some of the results.

Also, two days after the n-close, I texted the girl saying "hey, it's the cubeman here. You won't believe what just happened to me." A whole 12 hours later she texts back saying
"what was it that happened?"
So 14 hours after that ( was at a party when I recieved this), I texted back saying "Birds kidnapped everyone but me. I was checking to see if you were ok"
Then 2 and a half hours later, I'm rehearsing with my band and she says "Have yet to be kidnapped by any birds. thanks for checking"
So I just replied saying "Not now HB I'm jammin"

(I had to say cubeman because I had forgotten to tell her my name). Anyway, it doesn't seem like she was playing along or she didn't get it. Was I wrong in sending her weird ass messages like that? What should I have done instead, or even better, what should I say or do next?

Hm... You said she was sitting alone on campus? Was there a coffee shop? Could have tried an instant date. I think I'm going to do this more because I am having trouble getting girls to call me back. Could be because I've flaked on them to go out and do more sarging.. probably not the best first impression. Meh.

Good freakin job, on both approaches. Here , you don't Have to get them to qualify themselves. If they are smiley and receptive, theres no need for that, just keep touching and compliment her and then look away like your not paying attention. Don't think you did anything wrong. These methods work, but you don't Have to use them, only when it is neccesary. OR, maby they just didn't know what to say. Try giving them options, "do you have a good personality?" or something of that nature
