I think I've made a bad neg yesterday. So here's my story.

We're in this bar and I got 3 afc with me, and they were all lazy with girls that night. So it was up to me, I was searching the area for possible targets.
I found a set of a HB8 and a HB7.5, they were hanging in front of the bar just a few meters away from our position. Perfect was my thought, I could prepare it well and my two other friends could watch me working from a great angle.

I was asking one of my friends (who probably never done anything like this before) if he could wing me and "disarm the obstacle"
He agreed and off we go..

I was approaching in a perfect way, and slide in to order some beers to the left of my target. Then it goes like this:

HB8: Hey
me: Hey

me: (my name)
HB8: her name (I dont remeber it)

me: how old are you?
HB8: 25

me: 25!!!! (I was negging her pretty loud in a cocky funny way)
HB8: what? you think I'm old!

I dont really know if this is a bad neg or if it actually work. You should not talk about a women age, she would probably get you off for some young college kid. But this time it seem to work out.
So we went on talking and shit, I run the cube on her and some other routines. My wing really sucked, I never even saw him speaking with the HB7.5 who he should disarm.

We talked for a while and now her friend was getting intrested in our conversation. So now I was in trouble, I couldn't isolate my target without my wing. My time was counted. After a while of talking with the girls about world issues and stuff, this amog showed up and I was out of the game.

There was no way I could get back the girls attention, my routines had ran out. And I felt like the minimees in Gulliver's Travels!

So what should I've done. I was thinking of getting back to the target and continue the discussion about her age, but I never had the guts with the amog around. Any idea of how I should have done?

What you guys think of the neg? bad or not?

Next time I'm going out clubbing I got to have a real wingman.

From what I know, there's an unspoken rule not to ask a woman's age. But I think you could have pulled it off if your wingman stepped it up.

i think almost any neg can be pulled off with some good talking.

Don't sound like neg was ur problem.

Two things, One: don't open with ur name. The opener doesn't necesarily have to be a canned, it can be situational, but open with something other than your name. In addition to being a common and boring opener, it is good for her to ask you your name so you can trace the IOIs.

Also, with the guy that came in, you should befriend him and then reestablish male domance by adding value to yourself through stories and negging. Remember you control the conversation.

Now I see how I could have done things in a diffrent way to make success with my target.
What I should have done, was to open the HB8 with a classic one, like: "you know you could tell a lot about a person by the drink he/she drinks" and from there move on with some general talk.

and yeah, I think I've to work on my confidence to control the amog in situations like this, on my way to become a more alfa male person.

I'm not qualified as a PUA but I can tell you the age neg wasn't so bad. You could have followed up when she asked "I'm I so old?" with "I'm just checking so that I don't get sued for child abuse! ". That could trigger another discussion.
