I flew down to South Beath recently and stayed a week. I hit up Opium Gardens, Prive, Mansion, and Nikki Beach/Pearl.

I have no idea what it is about this vacation, out-of-town mindset but it's so much easier to go up to people and just shoot the shit. I had a friend in my hometown who takes vacation time *in-town* and just goes to bars and kicks back in a booth and is like, "Yeah...I'm on vacation." and he pulls chicks fairly consistently just doing that. There shouldn't be any reason I can't do that.....?.....I never have.

Anyway, my first day in Miami, flew in, checked into my hotel on Collins Ave., had lunch, and got hooked up w/ a club promoter who got me past the line at Opium. They were doing a fashion show at some point of the night; more on that later.

I found a ton of people way more welcoming and open, wanted to talk and shoot the shit, way more than my hometown, Richmond, VA.

First set I approached were probably three to four 9-10's, all clustered together, I had already had a shot and a couple drinks so I just walked up and said, "Hey how you girl's doin'? So you girls from Miami? No one seems to be from here." The hot ethnic chick I was kinda facing said in a bicthy way, "What?!!! I don't know!!" So I just cut that set loose.

Then I got drunk enough; I know what Jeffy, and a lot of the PUA major labels say about relying on alcohol, but it seems to get me in the real "ballzy" frame. I may slip up and say dickheadish shit sometimes, but hey, I'm talking and engaging. Read my other posts and you'll know.

I went over to this umblrella'ed table (a VIP table, since Opium is an open-air aitrium-style bar.) Obviously there was a heavy girl there, easily approachable, so I started talking to her, there was like one other girl there with her, a hot nicaraguan chick. After shooting the shit for like a minute or so, I asked, "you mind if I join you ladies?" She, said, "Sure, go ahead." They turned out to be the girls whose company was doing the whole fashion thing, that's why they had the table. As soon as I sat down the hot nicaraguan chick offered me a drink (at the VIP tables in miami, they have a bucket of ice, a big bottle of liquor, and pitchers of fruit juice) so she poured me one and we talked about Miami, etc. for about 30-45 mins. or so. Dudes started dropping by that they knew so I met a lot of people. Later the table girls said they were going to another club and asked if I wanted to come along, I said "sure."

So we made it to Pearl (upstairs from Nikki Beach). They went up to a table of guys the knew and before long I was offered a drink again by one of the guys at the table. At this point I was getting slammed.

So I start drukedly quasi-hitting on the nicaraguan girl, just suggestive stuff; her boyfriend was out of town, etc. And I was like, "So do you talk other guys and stuff or are you like "locked off", she said, jokingly, not bitchy, "I'm not that kinda girl." So we made our way to heavy girl's car, they agreed to drive me to my hotel like 9 blocks up, I staggered all the way, ( to the second club and to the car, I was MAJORLY drunk), people were asking me if I was okay. As I was about to get out of the car, I said to the heavy girl, (my *in*, and the reason I was doing all of this) "I had a great time with you girls tonight, let's try to reconnect some time later on or something." She just smiled and didn't say anything.

I was so hung over I slept until like 3:00pm the next afternoon, storm was coming so I wasn't missing out on much. I texted the chicks once a day for like 2 days, and never heard back. Said stuff like 1. "Wow, first night in Miami and I drink way more than I have in a long time, had fun with you girls; let's do something sometime."; 2. "Hey I'm trying to get out tonight, might hit up mansion, you girls interested?"......nothing.

Then at Mansion I met a girl from NJ who was pretty hot (8.5) She was traveling alone like me, so I was like, "Wow! We're a rare breed" I got home, we swapped facebooks, and then I found that she wasi in a realtionship. I texted her, "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were in a relationship, I hope I didn't give you the wrong impression."

Now I keep the upper ground doing this because it could mean 1. I hope I didn't seem interested in you. or 2. I hope you didn't think I was some scummy guy who messes around w/ girls who are in relationships."

She replied back, "No it's cool, I enjoyed hangin out with you b/c so many guys were rude, and alway wanted to hang on me, etc., you know?" I didn't write back. 2 weeks later, she wrote me "Hey, what's your email address? I finally got that pic of us on my computer." I sent it to her, and got it.

I asked about meeting up some time, she texted back some, surprised that I'd drive all the way to meet her, even halfway (philly) I told her "there are parts of VA that are a longer drive than NJ even, I don't wanna put labels on this but all I can say is I'd love to see you again." N0 response.

Going to San Diego 11-28 - 12-02; I'll keep you posted with my report in the gaslamp district (staying at the westin)
