So, there's this new Dutch chick named Maxine in my Hostel. She's 18, very cute, I'd say HB 8.5, and she's got a GREAT personality. Anyways, we talked a little bit last night when we first met about me going out to play music at a Blues club. Well, today, as I was heading out she was on her way out too. She needed a ride to the gym, and I was heading out to the mall, perfect timing right?


I offered to give her a ride to the gym that she was going to, and once there, she said she wasn't sure how long it would take and I just told her, "ahh, I'll stick around, the mall will still be there." So, I waited a little bit, and then we drove towards the mall. All through out the car ride, I asked her about herself, and her aspirations as an actor, ect. ect.

Then we got to the mall and started walking around with her, we talked a bunch, got smoothies, walked through weird shops, stopping to look at odd things, but just generally ran around. Then I did the cube game with her, and it was SPOT ON! I got her personality and all of that perfectly, it was incredible. Anyways, I used the fact that I knew a few famous people out here and what shows were coming up, as DHV's, on top of some of my first experiences playing guitar and all of that. But I kept things natural.

After the mall, we drove towards the drug store because she needed skin lotion, and I said "give me your hand." And she gave it over, and I said "let's play a game, if you can get five questions wrong, you win and I get to do something for you, if I win, you have to do something for me." I ran the game, got her to lose, and told her we'd be going to a show together this Friday. She was pretty eager to do it.

Throughout the whole thing I kept kino light, she said half way through our time together that she felt real at ease with me around her and that it was easy for her to open up to me. As we got back to the hostel and we were about to seperate I told her that I really enjoyed getting to know her today and that I really had a lot of fun, she agree'd and we parted ways to do our own things for the rest of the day.

I feel really good about this, we only held hands once in the car, and I only touched her arm every once in a while, like when we would really laugh about something we had in common, or if I was giving her a cocky explanation (in a fun way). But I think I might be putting things in a good direction.

Any suggestions on how to up the ante now?

I'm just looking for tips on how to successfully escalate things now really.

Like, do I just reach for her hand and take it while we're walking if I can tell her hand isn't busy? What other forms of touch should I be trying on her?
