I think it's because I want to be better, always. So my first approach was on a mid 20's HB9. Mind you I am only 15. I suppose I might pass for 17, maybe. The conversation went as follows.
HB9: "Can I help you?" (this was in an Aldo shoe store)
Lion: Actually, yes, you can.
Lion: I need a female opinion on something. My friend's girlfriend is jealous of him because he just started speaking with his ex-girlfriend from highschool. What do you think he should do?
HB9: Why are you asking me this?
Lion: Becasue all the cool people were busy.
HB9: *half smiles* You shouldn't ask me, I am very different from everyone else.
Lion: I'll be the judge of that.
HB9: *blah blah blah* ...tell him to dump her...*blah blah blah*
Lion: Wow, you're mean, how do your co-workers put up with you?
HB9: *walks away, looks back, smiles and says* They just do.
Lion: *walks back to the food court*
I'm happy because my initial goal was just to spark a conversation and keep her there. Half way through I thought maybe I could close this but then she walked away. What should I have done differently?
