Today, I number closed without uttering one word to my target, ever.

My train had run late, and so it was packed full of people to standing room only status two stops after I got on.

I sat down on a seat next to a very pretty strawberry blonde, I'd give her an 8. So the next stop, a woman sits next to me, and forces me to move right next to my target. I'm sitting there, reading the Wall Street Journal (does that qualify as DHV?), and I have my headphones on. She was doing some schoolwork or maybe preparing a report, so I felt pretty good about the kind of person she probably was. Also she was on the train pretty early so that gave me a pretty good sense of her values and goals. Or, I'm just living in a fantasy world. Not sure.

Once, the woman on my right asked me what happened to the trains this morning, and I said "I don't know.....this is a disaster" This got a laugh out of my target so I started thinking, hey I might have a shot here.

My stop was coming up, so I had to think fast. As we were approaching, I opened my cell phone and opened the text message box. I type in
"Did not get your name. I was thinking dinner Saturday night?"

She laughed and goes, sure, my name is Strawberry Blonde 8, and gave me her number.

I then introduced myself as Bronco and got off the train.

Haven't called it yet, but I did a reverse lookup on 411.com and it's a Verizon cell phone.

!!!

So maybe there really is something to the fact that I look a lot smarter when I'm not saying anything, haha.

Anyone with ideas on good follow up to seal this date I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Hahahaha :D

but anyway, I think you'll have to start from scratch since you didn't have any comfort building or kino escalation whatsoever. Just call this girl and use some routines that suit you personally. Let us know how things work out!

OK just purely to advance the discussion here, I would argue there was a certain level of comfort AND kino escalation built.

Reasons:

I got forced next to her on a crowded seat, courtousy of Big Mama who sat to my right. I was playing it cool and calm the whole time- kind of rubbing my stomach lightly and I kept decent tunes on my iPod at just the right level. She had her legs turned/bent towards me, she easily could have gone in the other direction.

She did not let out a huge laugh- more like, she laughed lightly and said "yeah. Yes. My names #$%&."

Anyway, I'm going to call her in a couple minutes.

I am SO hungover. My friend hb7 blonde slept in my bed last night and it would've been so easily to at least do a small cuddle session but I've known her for like 10 yrs. And I hooked up with her friend earlier.

OK Let ya know how it goes my brothers

Yeah, the trouble in this is that since it happened so quickly and without any ramp-up, it was just luck of the draw that she happened to agree to give you her number. It would be one thing if she'd displayed interest first, but...

I gave it one more try and nothing...since I potentially need to see this stranger every day I am going to stop contacting her until Maybe I'll get a chance to see her again and if the seat is free I can sit next to her and chat it up a little.

IMO, the less you do before getting the phone #, the more you'll have to do on the phone, if you even get a hold of her.
since my phone game sucks and i like to keep it short and sweet, i try to get everything taken care of beforehand, even suggesting a day 2. then the phone call is simply handling the logistics.
but maybe you have good phone game? even so, remember a phone conversation is only 40% communication (text only 10%) since you don't have body language, so i prefer to do everything in person.
