Date Night:
I invited this HB7 I had met previously to join me to a special screening of
Step Brothers in Hollywood followed by a Q&A with co-writer/director Adam McKay. I hadn't done an excellent job of kino escalating when I had first met her, so things were a little awkward as to what exactly this meeting was - are we friends or are we more than friends?
(I learned my lesson about the importance of kino escalation. From now on, if I want a day two, I'm going to need to k-close that night!)
At any rate, following the M3 model, I ran some A2 pieces, just to get the attraction going again. It seemed to be going okay at best. I would give my A2 game about a C-. To my credit, she did warn me that she wasn't a huge slapstick comedy fan, but she decided to meet me out anyway. However, she seemed completely bored during the movie and only laughed a couple of times.
I kino ping test her a few times during the movie and barely get any response. My interest in her is dropping with every joke that is either beneath her or goes over her head (I can't really tell which it is).
After the movie, we only stay for about half of the Q&A because I can tell she is bored out of her mind. Walking out, I do another kino ping by putting my arm around her - nothing, no response, so I push her off. Outside, I go completely AFC since I cannot figure this out and ask her what the plan is. She throws it back to me to decide, so we bounce to El Guapo - a near-by bar/restaurant.
We get some drinks and sit to chat. I run some A3 pieces by trying to get her to qualify herself to me and she is FAILING every one. I'm slowly discovering she is just not the type of girl I am interested in. However, I push on for the sake of practice and experience. We do some comfort building talk and then exit stage left because the bar is closing. At her car, we fluff talk for a bit more and then I notice none of her responses are making any logical sense. I look at her for a minute, say something like, "you are so fucking adorable...but you talk to much [smile]" pause for a minute, "would you like to kiss me right now?" (Thank you Mystery)
She answers, "do you want to kiss me?"
"Yes." "Yes."
Make out.
I'm just so confused as to why I felt like I was bombing the entire night and couldn't get a connection going. I have two thoughts: It is possible I pumped my value too high, so she felt under qualified to me (she said she was scared of rejection when I asked her if she wanted to kiss me). It is also possible I hadn't phase-shifted strong enough to let her know my intentions.
All-in-all, a decent night. I'm seeing her again next week and I will attempt to work a threesome with her and another one of my bisexual MLTRs. Should be fun!
