For the record, I hate country. I didn't go for the music, I went for the good time. And I had one. The story may be a bit long, so bare with me...

The day started out at my house. People going included me (guy), two of my roommates (guys), a buddy of ours (guy), my roommate's girlfriend (girl), and his cousin (girl) with 3 of her friends (girls). I drive the cousin and her friends (only guy in the car, not as great as it would seem), and everyone else goes in another car. So we stop to pick up beer and are on our way. The conversation in my car was riveting, I think I heard the word "like" about a thousand times. I would jump in the conversation every now and then, I'd say it went pretty well. We arrive before the car with the alcohol, since my roommate missed the exit for the party. So we all chill in the parking lot for about 20mins before they arrive, and then we get to drinking. I didn't drink much, since I was driving home and didn't want to risk my (nor my passengers) life. I drink enough to losen me up, since I WAS going to be listening to country and needed all the help I could get. So we walk over to the grass where the concert is. Everyone is paired up except myself and two of the girls, my roommate's cousin and her friend. I pick the cousin, since she is much hotter, yet has a boyfriend. We start doing some grinding (at a country concert, not expected but hey). Here's the thing. Everytime I put my arms on her hips or around her, it seemed like she would move forward after a minute or two. But then she would go right back to grinding again. While we were dancing, she had her phone out. She would just check her inbox and then scroll down. I saw her boyfriends name in there, so I slid the phone down to close it. She said "That was my boyfriend, he went to high school with you." I responded with, "I know, and I don't care." Then she looked back at me and I said again, "I don't care." with a smirk on my face. So we continue dancing, but have to leave prematurely because my roommate's girlfriend got too drunk and started puking. Even though I thought we were leaving early, we had to wait for everyone else since only me and my roommate went to get the cars. So after we get everyone in the cars, we are left sitting in a non-moving line of cars leaving the concert. This is where things start going downhill.

I hate backseat drivers. This time I have 3 girls and my buddy in the car with me. He is wasted, but chill. Meanwhile, the girls are all telling me how to drive while sitting in a long line of cars. So I get pretty turned off and a little pissed. Then she starts talking about her boyfriend, telling the story about how he cheated on her I don't know how many times and she keeps getting back with him. This is another turn off for me, since I hate pushovers. So I only laugh at the story, since I had known before of the situation. We all get back to my house, the girls all leave because I know the girl I was with had to be home since I know how her parents are. Not much I can do there, right?

Anyways, what could I have done to seal the deal and get rid of the boyfriend? I've just started recently not caring about a boyfriend, but have yet to use any boyfriend destroyers. And should I even continue trying to hook up with her? The whole pulling away when I put my arms around her really threw me off, I was just there to have a good time but apparently she didn't feel the same way. And whats the best way to get her and her friends here for our 4th of July party? She's seen our basement and knows how sick it is...
