A few tips on direct (my specialty). This stuff comes from years of experience with it that will make direct work better for you.

Make sure you convey that you convey you are interested in more than the woman's body like, "You're absolutley [gorgeous/beautiful] and I want to [meet/get to know] you"

Most women dream about being swept off their feet by a romantic proposal right? give them that. Think of marriage. When a guy proposes marriage to a girl he lays it out on the line 100%; approach them smiling as if you were the only ones in the world. No cell, no friend, no shopping, no plane, no photographers, no red light is in your way. It's just you and her.

Make really strong eye contact. Feel really good about yourself and project that great feeling onto others. Have the mindset that by walking up to a woman and going direct you're about to make her day. Don't be afraid to feel it. Don't be afraid to show it. Let her know about it. It can be your opener, even. Show her how nervous you are to talk to her -- and show her that you can be strong and confident anyway.

And make sure your inner game is solid!
