Hey guys, I decided to create a journal to write down my progress.

But not your average 'improving my game' journal. No, I want to get better with girls, but I have deeper issue that I need to solve first.

First on the list: assertiveness. You can read more about it in this topic:
post906215.html#p906215

I won't be writing every day, only when something ocurred when I succesfully reacted more assertive (or failed).

I'l start with this: Today I was on the road when someone to my right inserted himself on the road just in front of me, almost causing an accident. He had no priority, he came from a shop. If I didn't use the brakes, I would have hit him.
What did I do? I honked at him! :D He showed me his middle finger and an angry face, making me feel very uncomfortable (= what I always try to avoid), yet I felt good a little while after simply by honking.

To be continued!

Today I failed.

Exactly one week ago, I saw an interesting job ad on the university campus website (with a very attractive salary).
The website stated that I should contact a certain person and the site listed his e-mail address. I sent him a mail with my resumé, some information about myself and stated that I was very interested in the job. One day later I got a reply, in which the guy said that he couldn't assign jobs through e-mail, he has to meet the student in person.

I was planning to go thursday, but my train was late so I didn't hav enough time. So I went today. I told the guy that I sent him an e-mail concerning job x. The man looked up my e-mail, then the job and said: "Sorry, we're no longer looking for applicants for this job. Working at home jobs are always very popular, you sent your mail a week ago and only showed up today. Like I said in the e-mail, I need to talk to all applicants first, we don't take e-mails into account"

I was like: "Oooh, too bad, even though I sent an e-mail about it?" He just said sorry and that I should check other jobs on the site.

Even though I couldn't change the situation, I should have told him I find it inappropiate that he didn't consider me for the job, because I specifically stated that I was very interested. I thought that he would have written down somewhere that I was applying for the job, that this conversation was the next step in the application (
the website doesn't even mention that face to face contact is required to apply, or that e-mails are disregarded it only gives an e-mail address!)
Neither did he mention in the mail that I should hurry to apply because this type of job is very popular.

I should have told him all this, and that what the website states and he says aren't exactly the same. But I just left.

To be continued!

I did good today. I was at an information booth and was waiting in a chaotic line to talk to someone. When it was my turn the guys from the infobooth started talking to someone else. I politely intervened and said that I was first in line. The others guys made no problem of it (and probably didn't realise that they cut me off).
