Hey guys, I could use some help with my situation.

A few days ago one of my co-worker, Jayne, had her grandparents come in to visit her at work. I got to spend some time with the grandpa who told me awesome stories about his childhood and why they were in town to help Jayne out. He also told me she was single and only working so that she can go back to school. I mentioned that I was also single to which he suggested I ask her out.

Before the end of work, Jayne starts to apologize for her grandpa hanging out with me for so long. I said "Your grandpa is awesome. You have nothing to apologize for. But he did make me promise to ask you something." I explained that we didn't have enough time so she gave me her number and told me to text her later. **I DID NOT RUN MY USUAL NUMBER CLOSE ROUTINE so this caught me off guard.

The next day I texted her:

"I really enjoyed getting to know your grandpa. And from what I gathered, you seem like the type of girl who loves deeply and is willing to give their whole heart to the people you love once they get to know you. I have to work the tournament, but we should have dinner this weekend because I would like to get to know you more."
"Yea that sounds good. I just have to wait till they leave n then I'll be free."
"How long are they in town for?"
"It all depends. They r helping me do things to my house."
"Time with family is always good!"

My last response was only just yesterday.

I would like some advice as to how to proceed because I don't want to come across as seeming needy but at the same time I want to remind her of the fact I want to take her out to dinner.

I normally have a routine but this is brand new territory for me.
