Not a 'true' field report, as I'm pretty much an A.F.C. and don't sarge, yet. The story is true. Happened about 20 minutes ago.

I parked my car near my house. While I was still in it, another car started honking at me and flashing its headlights. Then I heard a chick calling "hey excuse me?"

I went over there and I saw two HB8's, blonde and brunette, sitting there. I said "hey, what's up?"
Girl 1:"We need help getting to [some] city, our phone just died".
Me: "Okay.. (starting to think of routes in my head), you could.."
Girl 2:"Ok we're just fooling around, she saw a hot guy and wanted to talk with him, started honking the horn and stuff"
Me: "Oh hehe.. (bending a bit so I could see the other girl) hey there."
Than we chatted for like 5 minutes, I can't remember all the details.
At one point girl 1 said: "so what's a guy like you doing here in such a nice night?"
Me: "Well I'm flying to NY tomorrow."
Both girls 'whooed' and girl 1 looked me in the eye and said: "Can I come with you there?"
I laughed a bit, kind of embarrassingly. Than she made a sad face and told her friend "he doesn't want me to go with him..".

I bid them goodnight and.. went upstairs.

I know, kind of lame but it all happened so fast. If I had time to plan I'd make things work out differently.
But heck, that's one hell of a confidence boost for me.
Just needed to share .
