I happen to work in a cupcake store where women open me every single day and so I get to practise routines on customers to see what works, and what doesn't work. My boss encourages it....he calls it 'Customer Service' haha!
Today my focus was on Negs and I found customers responded well to my stories after I negged them! Finding negs are hard though. A group of 3 girls came in, one an Emo5, one an Irish8 and the other a Plain8. I wanted to see if I could get the attention of the Plain8 by ignoring her and creating convos with the other girls. When I transitioned to talking to her I never would have guessed what happened next.
Like all customers they ordered their cupcakes and coffees and cupcakes and sat down and the Irish girl came back. When I asked for her name I laughed and asked if that was a name combined of all the 3 girls. She then said
'Do you insult all your customers?'
'Only the ones I like' I retorted. The convo went on and we played with the joke that I was continually insulting her! When she told me she was Irish because I cold guessed...and failed at guessing...her background she told me she's sad that she didn't have her Father's Irish accent. I told her
'Its a good thing you don't have one, otherwise I would have fallen in love straight away!'
Now...I'm not good at recognising and understanding the attraction process but at this time I realised she was attracted! I decided to pull the trigger!
'Look, I keep insulting you' I said, 'how can I make it up to you?' In a really obvious eye motion she said
'Iiiiiiii dunnnooooooo' immediately, body shaking I slowly suggested we get a drink since I insulted her. I got her number and she put herself in my phone with a nickname so I could remember her!
I'm not exactly sure what I did here to get this, but I love how standing accross from the coffee machine acts as a quick mini bounce! _________________ Being bad at something is the first step to being good at something.
