Today I went to withdraw some money at the bank, I walked in cool and confident (peacocking as always) and waited in line.

HB7 - Can I help you?
LB - Yes, I like to withdraw some money.
HB7 - Can I get your driver license?
LB - What's the magic word?
HB7 - Please?

Anyway, I gave her the card and wrote down the large amount I want to take out, she asked to see it again like 3 times...short term memory? Then she started to get nervous, and shaky, counting the money too fast and sloppy that she had to recount them. Next thing you know she entered withdraw twice of the original amount. Had to call in her manager to enter some code to refund it back to me.

When this happen I am starting to feel for her, and thus have my own flash backs of when I was nervous around HB's. After it all she handed me the cash in an envelop really fast, and she did not held eye contact nor gave a smile. Just a cold "Have a nice day".

I didn't want to disturb her counting so I just watch the whole time with a smile. What went wrong here?

There is your problem IMO, it could have been that you made her flustered, but with only a brief chance to show her how good you are, I doubt it. How much of a large amount are we talking? Alot of people get nervous handling large sums of cash, especially if your under pressure ie new to a banking job.

Maybe go back and tease her about it. I'm not trying to put you off it but gaming a bank teller would be EXTREMELY difficult, the physical barrier is MASSIVE, this is very damaging for the psychological, building a repertoire and the fact that there will be other customers will mean she will rush you. You'd have to be blatant and cut to the #-close and work your magic from there.

Good Luck!

Ah, its the money I see. I took out like 3G cash, all in 100s.

You are right about the gaming a teller. She was just another to practice on, no big deal.

I gamed a girl in the bank last week as it happens. She wasn't a teller though, she was a customer service girl, so there's no line putting pressure on her and there's less of a formal physical barrier since you're both sitting on comfortable chairs at her desk.

She was an Asian HB8 with plenty of jewelry, so that gave me plenty of opening and negging material. There was a squad of about four of us in doing our business (changing account details over now that a new board has been elected onto a non-profit organisation that I work for) but I just gamed away in front of my friends.

"That's a nice collection of pearls you have on your wrists. Is it good exercise carrying all that weight around?" That produced a laugh and a minute or two of conversation. Then she was back to business.

"Do you nails have batteries in them that make them sparkle like that? Oh, it's just sparkly nail polish." Another laugh and a few minutes of convo. Then she was back to business.

When she was signing forms I looked at her hands again.

"That's the biggest ring I've ever seen. Is it a storage container for something?" I was just kidding but it actually contained lip balm. Plenty of conversation resulted from that before she turned her attention back to the computer. (Thank goodness for slow computers.)

I ended up sort of number closing by getting her business card. In hindsight I should have pushed a bit harder and gotten her cell phone #. Also I had somehow managed to get the subject around to where she was going out that night, and it wouldn't have been difficult to push a little harder for the cell phone #. There was an IOI in that she asked me where in town I lived and where I hang out, so I think it was there for the taking. I was bantering with my friends quite a bit too, just to build the social proof.

My friends (who don't know anything about the game) couldn't believe what they'd seen.

So for your situation, I'd recommend gaming in the bank by going for customer service situations. Only problem is you never know who you're going to get, if you get a fella helping you, you might find yourself either wasting your time or asking him if he can pass you over to one of his more attractive female colleagues. (That can give you a bit of social proof if he takes it the right way and laughs enough that other people will hear.)

I wouldn't dismiss the bank out of hand, it can be pretty lucrative if you do it right. The ideal situation is where she has to call a call center and is stuck on hold for ages. I once had that with a male customer service rep and was kicking myself that it wasn't a HB. If it were, I'd have # closed by the time the motherfuckers had answered!
