Me and my buddy zach wanted to go to the mall ( i had told him about a confidence building exercise i had learned in which we said hi to every girl that passed us in the mall)maybe it was too late on a school night but the mall was dead and any pretty girls we saw seemed to know what we were up to and completely had there heads turned away. the best i could do was a 50 year old lady who didn't respond. we decided we could find girls in some of the shops and we started at target. finally i notice a girl who worked there and quickly thought of something i could say. i approached her and another employee and told them about this fruit drink that i had last time i was there... but for the life of me i couldn't remember the name (which was all true) the girl took me to a different part of the store. i wasn't sure how well i was doing because the only thing we could talk about was this drink and how she was new to the place and wasn't sure where everything was. i told her i worked at hannafords and blah blah. she never asked for my name or showed much interest so i decided i should just drop it..
i was happy enough that i got her talking at all but being that we were at her job she didn't have too much choice... anyway that's my exciting story i am wondering how i should have handled things after i got her talking or even if a workplace is a good location for practicing this sort of thing.
