Tonight was my first sarge in along time and I was eager to try "Hi, how's it going, I wanted to come and meet you". I arranged to meet Rastapopulos and his friend at Town Hall steps at 7:30pm. Rasta showed up wearing red pants and elven black shoes, his friend Hassan* in black pants and a tan jacket. I was pumped. I wanted to kick arse. We caught a train to North Sydney and arrived there within minutes.
We first went to the Greenwood and Hassan had to go to the toilet, leaving Rasta and I to sarge. We spied the first set (a 4 set) sitting down and enjoying some drinks. Rasta and I decided who would approach with a game of rock-scissors-paper. I won with 2 out of 3 and approached.
I approached the set and asked "Hi, how's it going?". The set laughed. One of them, a girl in a floral dress recognised me from October. She said she remembered me asking how to approach a girl. I denied this of course, telling her she saw someone who looked alot like me, but wasn't. I should've ejected immediately, but I chose to stay believing the situation was salvageable somehow. I was laughed at and I slowly admitted to visiting in October. Thankfully Rasta came in, rescuing me and distracting the others. I pulled Rasta in close, saying we should eject but we stayed. The girls left for the bar. I joined them and tried to speak but was drowned out by the music. I left to find Rasta sitting enjoying a beer by himself.
(20 minutes later)
I found the set I unsuccessfully opened earlier sitting in the dance hall. Two guys now joined them. I tried to talk to the fat friend but she laughed. I saw flower girl at the bar and said "shoot me an email so I can avoid them". Her boyfriend came and asked if I was bothering her. I hung round them briefly and the boyfriend asked what my problem was. I was AMOGed by the threat of a fight and I left tail between legs.
Tonight reminds me of my worst sarges, but even they weren't this bad. I am angry and hurt; but the only thing I can do is laugh. Hell, my "I got AMOGged" cherry got plucked tonight.
Tonight was shit but it will strengthen my determination to be an awesome PUA. Also, I will never return to the Greenwood for fear that I may run into these people again (I'm being really generous calling them people). I took some lessons tonight and identified two glaring deficiencies:

Lessons:
Dont get too familiar with a place and the people. Other regulars may recognise you and catch on to your actvities.
Play day game.

Deficiencies:
Conversation skills.
Resilience, crucial for any PUA. After the Greenwood my confidence was shot and this showed at the Commodore where I was anti-social.

I hope to God that the 7/12/07 is nothing like tonight. I need your feedback. Tear me down if you have to.
