So, I've been going to a lot of bars lately. Last week at a bar, I ran into this girl who went to high school with me. I never really knew her very well, and I hadn't seen her in years (in fact I couldn't remember her name at first), but we hit it off pretty well and she gave me her number.

Two days later (too soon?), I asked her if she wanted to go back to that bar with me. She said yes, and invited me to come hang out at her place beforehand, so I did. When I got there she looked like shit... she was wearing what must have been the oldest, rattiest clothing she had. Bad sign, right? Anyway we watch TV and chat for a while. I tried to Kino her a bit, didn't do a whole lot. Eventually she showers, and changes into nicer clothes, and then we go to the bar.

Not much happened there... I do a little Kino, again not much. She mentions that she wants to smoke, but doesn't have any cigs, so I suggest going to a hookah bar, and we do. We hang out there for like two hours. I told her that she looks sexy, and we kino a lot more.

When we leave, I hold her arm, and we start walking back to my car. She suggests going back to her place to watch TV, and I thought that sounded good. We also ran into a friend of hers, who asked if we were dating, and there was a really cute moment where both of us were like "ummm.... I dunno...". What would you guys have said there?

Anyway, when we get back to her place, disaster strikes. She doesn't have a key to her apartment (WTF?) and her roommate's not there to let her in. I suggest going back to my place, and she's like "no, actually, can you take me over to my boyfriend's place? I'll just crash there tonight." WTF???!!! That's the first time she's mentioned a boyfriend to me. What am I supposed to do there?

I took her over there because I felt sorry for her, and even though the lights at his place are off and he doesn't answer her phone, she eventually wakes him up and goes in. Man, what a frustrating night. I thought everything was going so well, and then it just blew up in my face. How would you guys handle this situation?

Their's not such thing as boyfriends and girlfriends. She just likes to have options...I know it hurts to say it but if she was decent looking you know she's got a few guys hanging around. It may have fucked your mind up a bit but in retrospect it's not unusual. You may still be able to close her if you want it seems like thats where she was going with things. Seems like one guy isn't enough for this lady, and I can't fault her for that. One women isn't enough for me.

Yeah, you're probably right. I guess I'll try again, ask her to come over to my place directly this time and see how it goes.

It sounds like it was going well, but that bit towards the end is crazy. If she really does have a bf...and she didn't mention him until things got desperate then you must have been doing things right. Unfortunately when things got down to the wire she didn't want to go back to your place...oh well! It seems very salvageable to me. Good luck, I know you don't need it
