This past weekend I had a friend's wedding to attend. It was a gathering of friends, of both the bride and groom in a nice rented house. It was an ideal situation for a masterful sarge... Being a gathering of friends, I had the social proof from the large group of mutual friends to work on the group of new acquaintances…
Saturday night – Rehearsal dinner for the Wedding… dressed in a nice shirt and tie combo. Shoes that match the tie and a hair tinting product to match the shirt, some rings, bracelet and LED watch (this piece ALWAYS gets a good response). I’m making small talk with several groups, floating around the dinner, but also trying not to overshadow the bride and groom to be too much
. All of these people will be at the wedding the next day, so by doing this, I built up some cred for the next day… but I’m getting ahead of myself. As it was a gathering for a wedding, I didn’t need to use a lot of canned material, I was able to open with the very honest and sincere question “Bride or Groom… who do you think would win in a cage fight?” which got great response and just made stacking easier… Anyhow, I’ve got the room eating out of my hands… I’m on fire, I’m in the zone, I’m at the top of my game… fill in the cliché, it all fits. I was commanding the room. Well, around 10PM, the mother of the bride comes over to me, grabs me by my belt buckle and says “We should get out of here.” So we wound up leaving, and everyone sees it happen. She’s a cougar… tight body with just the right level of insane, so I took the chance and left with her. Turned out she had some wedding errands to run, and wanted my help. She is dating the singer of the band that was performing, so she wanted to make him jealous… Do I feel used? Maybe, but since the wedding would put me in front of everyone that saw her tear me from the room, I just went with it.
Sunday night – The Wedding. To start with, I look good. It was a beach wedding, so I am wearing a patterned Ike Behar shirt with pink/yellow windowpane pattern, a pink tie with a silver zig-zag pattern and matching dock shoes with pink & yellow in them. My friend asked me to act as MC last minute, so I also had that going for me… I’m announcing the couple, introducing the wedding party, the band, etc. (and I was very alpha with these, never did I say “Can I have your attention?” I used the more commanding “Take to your feet…” “Give me a round of applause for…”) I targeted one girl who had several very clear IOIs the night before, and she sought me out upon arrival… she kept asking me out on the dance floor, and was consistently impressed with my dancing. At one point it got cold, so she took my coat (lock in prop), despite the open bar we went to a local bar that she was talking highly about (bounce to 2nd location), we had a private joke (us vs. the world), and despite frequent mentions of her BF (a shit test I blew right through), I managed to get an F-close. (she had a BF, so no #, but an F-close is a nice second place
)
Interesting side note was that I was told by 2 different girls at the wedding that one of mothers there said she was very impressed with my skills on the dance floor, how I handled myself in conversation, and my over-all confidence, and how it made her very hot, and that she would totally jump my bones… Whatever I did, I did right, so I now plan on recreating this as often as possible.
