hey, another field report for you guys. all advice is appreciated.

went out last night with my roommate. first bar we went to, didn't open any sets. wasn't much to look at so i don't feel too bad about it.

second bar we go to, there are tons of people, girls and guys. roommate and i get a drink. notice a hb5 with a logo of my favorite football team...ask her if she's from my home city....chat with her for a little bit....tell her nice to meet you and move on. i didn't really find her all that attractive so i wasn't really trying to run game on her. it was a good opener though as it gave me some value and got me to be talkative.

my roommate and i then moved to the other end of the bar, where we chilled on a railing. two hb7s are standing there half dancing half chatting with each other. i turn to one of the girls (i was leaning back and i talked loudly and clearly...yes!) and ask her what she thinks about guys with pierced ears. she gives me kind of a disgusted look and says she doesn't like them. i say what about on me. she grabs my chin turns my head a little and says no i don't think so... its too 90s" i respond " too 90s?" "yeah it just wouldn't look good" so i say "wow thanks for the advice" ....and then.....nothing. my mind went blank. i could not think of anything to move the conversation. looking back i know i should have negged her when she touched my face ("woah, i didn't say you could touch me, we just met...") but i could not think of anything. all the shit i read on this forum.....nothing came to mind.

in the course of the night i tried opening two more sets with this line but again got kind of disgusted looks and couldn't think of where to take it after that.

so to sum up:

good news-my AA is fleeting. i am having much less problems opening sets. it is almost starting to feel unnatural NOT to open a set.
-also, i am leaning back and not creeping girls out.

bad news- my mind keeps going blank at key moments and i am losing their interest. i need to keep the conversation moving
-my opener is a piece of shit. i need something to get girls happy and excited, not all pissed off and disgusted

any thoughts?

yo, there are so many canned openers you can use, especially on this forum. you can try them out and chose the ones that you like the most and go on. but the best would be to come up with your own openers.

and about the talking problem: you can just start and tell any story, it doesnt even have to be much DHV. or talk about all the sorroundings you have. ANYTHING is better than nothing in this case

It seems that I just want to know wat woman are like, instead of going in with the prerecognition that you have to get a number or kiss close, it seems easier to think that you are just having a friendly chat

Ok man what I do is a combination of cocky comedy, and funny stories to keep girls interested after the hook. You should when she's getting ready to reply to your question take her off topic with a neg, and then a random story thats fucking hilarious. Don't use any stories involving anything gross or distasteful. I would like for you to sit down with a few clips from my favorite comedians and try it in your sets. It makes girls go crazy if your a funny guy, and it allows you to get them comfortable with you. I've got a secret vault of information personally stored and ready for guys that seek some advice from me. Also do you have any friends locally that are PUAs? yeah it does actually. i'm a pretty quiet, shy person. its hard to randomly talk to anyone, regardless of gender. that's probably my biggest weakness.

ok then
what u need to do is some newbie exercises

for example
go to the mall, or somewhere in the city
anywhere u know there are going to be a lot of people walking by or standing around

and just have the GOAL of opening
say anything! one of the best ones for this is to ask for directions as this is an easy thread to stack upon once u have OPENING down

after they give u directions... "so ur from around here... do u know any good bars/clubs/places to eat, etc."

PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
u need to learn how to not be shy
before u go trying to k-close HB's in a bar

if u put in the time - u will get the reward
