i know guys usually share good approaches and stories on here but i thought i'll tell you about my awful approach today.

so today i was day gaming and i saw a 4 set all 8s or 9s so i decide to approach the nerves start to increase and i start forgetting stuff but none the less i approached so i walk up and open by asking directions (i talked to the 9) she was unsure so i used a neg by saying to her mates that is she giving me wrong directions not sure if that counts as a neg anyways her mates laugh and she tells me follow them if u want and don't if u don't want to and walks off and I just couldn't carry on from there (this happens a lot to me nearly all the time when i approach)

I also find my negs are too hard. My target always gets turned off and insulted.

so maybe you can try and add some humour like instead of telling her that she's giving wrong directions say like
"Are you sure i wont end up in egypt or something? I'll miss my family"
its hard in the midst of the process to think of these but try it and eventually you'll get it.
and maybe she just had a crappy day?

yeah i think it was just a bad day because today i went out again same place for day game again and did 6 approaches and 5 were good i reckon everyone has bad days like the one i had but u can't give up. I think i had a bit of help because I played a game with my friend about who could do the most approaches i guess i am getting better at the game. And yeah i added some humor into the negs today as well

I think you should have did it with humor like previouly stated or your neg should have been more about her looks than her inteligence

Keep going. Why did you stop? Even if you fail, continuing in a set can only help you improve and learn what works. It was a good approach before you decided to walk off. Sounds like this is a common problem with you so next time don't give up that easily. You might be surprised to find the only thing holding your game back was your own limiting thoughts. The more you push yourself the better you'll become.
