| So, I'm extremely new to the game and being half-way through the book by Neil Strauss, I decided that I couldn't just sit around at home and let my knowledge grow but not putting anything into practice I had learned so far. So I decided to go out.
I am a fourth year Varsity student and over the past 4 years I have been training myself to go out on my own and to not have to rely on the safety and security of being with friends and having an escape route. This has actually been a phenomenal boost to my social life as I have made countless new friends, acquaintances and even a couple of hook-ups and has generally managed to decrease self-esteem issues I had in high-school.
So I went to one of my favourite clubs, Mystics, and bought myself a drink and headed over to the dancefloor where I proceeded to open a 5-set... the only problem I was having was that the music was deafening. Beyond getting themselves all introduced to me I couldn't continue with opening and to be honest I couldn't think of a way to get the group to feel comfortable around me whilst the music was blaring. So I decided; "fuck it, I'm just gonna dance and have a good time." *Lesson learned - open sets in places you can be heard*
Next thing I know I'm dancing around a 2-set made up of an average looking guy and an HB7. Before I can even blink the guy comes up to me with a camera dangling around his wrist and tells me he recognsises me from around campus and wants to take a photo of me to mark the great time he and his HB7 friend is having. (I didn't realise at the time but he totally opened me) So I decide this is a great way to approach his friend. He and I take a photo and I open with the good old cat-fight story outside of the bar. The guy totally buys into it but I can see the girl isn't interested - she's been getting way too much attention from a lot of the other guys in the club. So I decide to give her no attention at all and proceed to have a fat chat with her dude friend. Him and I are having a great time on the dancefloor and eventually she starts getting irritated that she's not a part of the fun.
First thing she asks me is: "Are you gay?"
Without missing a beat: "Not as far as I know, but for him (pointing at her friend) I'd make an exception."
Her bitch-shield vanishes in a heart beat and next thing I know her and I are talking and having a great time, dancing on the floor, where she eventually starts grinding me.
ENTER the biggest AMOG-mufa-fucka you've seen in your life. No seriously...it looked like a cast member of Jersey Shore walked in.
Now, I'm average height, relatively OK looking, not a bad physique but this guy was at least double my height and probably rocking roids in his back pocket. He pushes me aside and tries to introduce himself to HB7. She's a bit surprised and bowled over and starts talking to him but at the same time I can see she's not comfortable around him and she tries to turn away, yet he persists. Since this happened, a minute has probably gone by and in my old life I would have just let this big tit run his game and get the girl.
Suddenly AMOG offers HB7 a cigarrette and I see my opportunity.
I walked up to Hagrid, clapped him on the back and said: "Hey man, thanks, I'll have one of those cigarettes"
He's still stupidly holding out his arm straight to HB7 whilst I grab one of the cigarettes straight out of the packet, and somehow I manage to wriggle my way between him and HB7, who promptly offers me a lighter, turns around and goes back to dancing.
I look around and The Situation is still holding out his pack of cigarettes with a stupid expression on his face. I make the 'shoo' gesture and I couldn't believe it but the dude actually ended up fucking off.
Anyway the night went on and eventually I decided I wanted to get out of there, so I told the HB7 and her friend that I had work in the morning and I have to get to bed, so I asked what we could do to continue the conversation and the dude offered me his number, which was a bit weird. Somehow I never got HB7's number but before I left I told her I wanted one more picture of her kissing me on the cheek. To which she obliged happily.
Next thing I'm walking out of the club and her dude friend stops me as we get outside. He tells me he's gay and that it was great meeting me. He wants to take me out on a date. I laugh and apologise telling him that I don't swing that way but thank him all the same for a sweet night.
So on my first Sarge night I managed to Open my first 2-set, diffuse an AMOG and #close a gay guy. S'pose it could have been worse...
