| First...thanks Tripp for relentlessly asking me if I was ready to get my "feet wet". lol
Next, I know for a fact, that this is going to be a brief FR, as there weren't many approaches. It was good just to get together with someone else who is into pick-up. There was definitely some nervousness on both our parts. I didn't know what to expect, as far as meeting this guy. And, Tripp thought I was gonna be 5'10" in all directions. lol Mostly this was a "meet and greet," so we could get familiar with each other.
Hammerheads was our first stop. Heading downstairs, I made eye contact with HB 7/7.5 brunette. She initiated, saying hi. I only talked briefly with her and mild CF. (By the way, Tripp did the most of the openings. haha) There's a shameless plug for ya Tripp. We approached what was originally a 2-set, but quickly reduced by one...she went to the dancefloor, bathroom, whatever. There was good conversation and this girl was definitely a lot of fun to talk to. Tripp #-closed.
Onto Fast Eddy's: Again...AA kicked my ass. After my nice little post on the "3 second rule," I still couldn't get out of my own head. Nothing much to report on this stop. Though, I did break the initial AA barrier and used the "glasses opener" with a 2-set. I made typical mistakes...spoke too quickly, didn't DHV enough. Negged once. The good: within about 30 seconds, HB-7.5 was kino'ing, grabbing my coat and arm. There were good vibes from both women in set, but they left quickly to the dancefloor for a song they liked. This didn't matter to me though, I was just pleased with myself that I actually broke the barrier.
My only approach was a success, as that was all I was wanting to get out of the way. It took quite a bit of time to psyche myself up to it, but I got to thinking about all the posts on AA, the 3 second rule, and the glasses opener came to me out of the blue...we were heading back up to the area around the dancefloor, I saw the 2-set, and just went into it. Once I'm done here, I will be refining the glasses opener to fit my personality and coming up with an interest back story for it.
That's my first "real" night out sarging...wish it could have gone better...but, all-in-all, it was good. Looking forward to doing it again.
