We each approached and complimented 10 targets. We did this in order to get over approach anxiety. In going into it we thought it would be so much easier than it was. It ended up taking hours walking around just to say hi to random women.
At first it was hard to come up with compliments for me personally, although El Wray seemed to have an easier time. I guess I'm just not as used to coming up with compliments on the spot for strangers who I've never seen. It was a great experience and I learned I need to speak up and keep eye contact, especially after I spit out the compliment. However, when the day was finished I think we both felt really great after stepping out of our comfort zones and getting some smiles or thank yous. It doesn't sound like a lot on a PUA forum, but I think it was a great start and am very optimistic. It was our first day in the field so it was a big step for both of us just to get out there and even talk to random strangers.
We both read The Game, and we are going to start the StyleLife challenge in September. El Wray has been getting through a lot of Style's reading list which he thought was very helpful. Our main goals are to get more confident with the newbie challenge overtime, begin the creation of unique conversations, and negging approaches which I'm personally most worried about, although I think the idea of unique conversations will be the most helpful.
