Alright, I have read about PUA for about 9 months now, but have not actually made an approach, until 2 days ago.

A friend from work organised a singles night and booked a floor in a nightclub, and all my team at work went including me. I didn't actually expect to chat anyone up there, I was thinking more about going to other clubs after the singles night and approaching then.

When I got there my friend who organised was there, her bf, and then 3 people had turned up (no-one from work yet), and it was an hour into it, most of whom were the wrong gender, lol. This made it pretty awkward, there was a small group sat around a table, with an entire floor of a nightclub to ourselves, so I figured the best course of action is to get drunk, this was at about 8:45.

So by about 11pm, I was properly hammered, but there was a group of 3, pretty attractive girls sitting the other side of the room for the past hour or so, so I spoke to my friend, and asked her to introduce me, seeing as she organised the night. So my friend introduced us, can't really remember what she said exactly, but me+my friend sat down with them, and started talking. Tell you what though, I had 7 bottles of smirnoff ice and 6 shots of vodka at that time, and I was still struggling to keep the conversation up, if it wasn't for my friend there'd have just been a permanent awkward silence. But we talked just about ourselves really, what we're doing, they're gonna go to uni, I told them that I work etc, then when the music started properly so we couldn't hear each other, they got up and walked off, and I gave one of em a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Made me realise its wayy harder than I thought it was, these 3 girls were pretty open, no bitch-shield or anything, were my age, and I had a proper people person friend introduce us, plus I was smashed (but not slurring words thankfully), and I still struggled with any conversation...

We left about 20 mins later, and I had one colossal hangover the next day...

So I learnt 2 things, to approach more often, and to read less. I've read loads of books about PUA, but none helped me there, where I struggled to actually keep up a conversation (which I'm thinking more approaching would fix quite quickly). Still, I couldn't of chosen a nicer group of girls to go to, they were all quite friendly, so helped my AA quite a lot.

and STOP GETTING DRUNK.

Getting good at game is all about going out and getting as many reference experiences as you possibly can. Memory doesn't come from reading. Memory is emotion state access dependent. Meaning that you learn something when your brain and your emotions have fully experienced it and you subconsciously make a mental note of how to/how not to act in a particular situation. You won't remember shit if you keep going out and getting hammered and will also spend ALOT of money on booze. Shit, what you drank that night would cost about 100-150 bucks where I'm from. Go out and do that 4, 5, 6 nights a week... you're talking a little bit more than some change brother.
