| First off, I know that the workplace isn't the best place to pick-up but for me being gunshy it's definitely great practice.
I walk up on a 6 in a two set:
Talking to and keeping eye contact with "the guy"....
Me: Hey, ****, do you have to help her?
Her: (mouth gaping)
The guy: Yea, she's sweet enough to help
Me: I don't even like her, she doesn't even wanna work over here (with half-cracked smile)
Her: It's not that, I've just hated working with some people today
Me: (talking to the guy) Wow, I can just feel the love right about here, lol. (I waved my hand over face)
The guy: Laughs
At this point I make eye contact with her, smile, and take a step back. She follows and I've now Isolated her in conversation. Since I'm still gun shy, I choke and have little to say.
Me: So you hate people over here?
Her: No, actually I like the people over here just wish there were work to do.
Me: Well you know I don't like you at all (smiling)
Her: Yea, right (laughs)
She goes back to work and I leave to my desk. About 5 or 10 minutes later she makes the trip over to my desk when I was about to step away for a bit. She rests her head on her crossed arms on my printer and we make small talk about work, IOI's of smiles and comfort for each other was there but nothing came out of it. When I left, she uncrossed her arms as she got up revealing a wedding ring she was hiding.
Still made me smile, lol.
*Please reply everyone and let me know what I did wrong, besides the obvious shyness I have, and give me some pointers that I might have said or done.
