Hey guys doing some damage control and i need some advice; (i'm a 20 yr old tafe student at one of those hybrid uni/tafes)

~ a month ago i started practicing direct game, and because i was just starting on it, i wasn't to confidence in being direct; playing hacky sack with my AFC class mates i spot a 1 set at the cafeteria, I walk over to her *form behind approach her form the side and tap her on the shoulder, then in a wavering voice say “hi form behind you look so dam much like a friend of my’n I had to come say hi, and you also look cute” *smiling while I say all of this; she smiles and offers me a seat but had distance body langue, I drop a few negs about her man hands and her being the snobby arty type, but I don’t get any strong IOI’s. Her friends drop in and start talking about a fight one of them had with a guy on campus, I try to dhv by intruding myself and dropping dhv stories of when I was defending my friend, as they talk, their covo leads into clubbing, and my target tells me to come with her tomorrow night, *I didn’t quite catch it so I said “ha?” she took it as a IOD and left it, well before she went back to class she tells me to meet up with her again same time same place next week (only time our time tables sync up) (very weak connection at the end of this day) I understand that because I tried to dhv so much it became a dlv

I see her again the next week, this time she catches my with my ACF friends; who I try to DHV, talking about how cool they really are but how their too shy to talk about it, well I try to isolate by asking her to have coffee with me; this is after a few negs and chitchat with my class mates, well she says no she’s already had a coffee, so they I tell her to come with me and just keep me company, she agrees follows, after some light hearted convo followed by small negs, I look at her and say, lets play a game, *trying out styles’ cv. She went half way then felt un comfortable, so I cut the thread but I found out she wanted to do charity and help people, so walking down the street I drop my books, a few times and she helps me pick them up, to which I respond “you know what I can be your charity case, just quit your day job and I’ll pay you double to follow me around and just pick up after me” after this he whole body langue changed and she was walking much more closer to me, at this time I met up with some class mates and ditched her for my class mates to do a assignment, at this point I release I didn’t leave the set properly. She tells me she’ll see me again next week, it doesn’t happen…

I catch her with one of her friends one week and I DLV by waiting for her as she talks to her friend, it goes nowhere so I cut and go; 2 weeks later when I think I’m over her (and been getting a few good club game) I see her walking down the street with a girl and an guy, I bump into her again at the train station, I see the guy and know I can blow him out with the new tools I’ve developed over the past month I haven’t seen her but on that day I was low energy my assignment files got corrupted (on the day its due), so I didn’t approach, well I didn’t know it until I walked about but I had developed a bond to her and just seeing her with a guy broke out a small bit of my heart, funny thing is, I didn’t even like her that much to start off with.
this is by far my worst pickup/unpickup and I can see points everywhere where I went wrong but I want to know if/how I can repair it, I know it’ll take more effort than just starting a new set, but I want to learn everything/ as much as I can about pick up.
