Went out again to downtown Santa Monica last night with Ace and BaoWow... really
starting to dig that place.

It was totally dead, as becoming of a Sunday night. Approachable sets far and
few between. I'm still on the crutch of needing throwaway sets to get my mood up
before I can seriously approach, but true to his nature Ace approached every
gotdamn single-looking girl there.

Eventually Ace opens a set of 4 girls and a guy on the street. We move to the Circle Bar where
we chill with the girls for a long while.

They turn out to be on vacation in America from London (sounds backwards, but
okay). I start up a conversation with the blonde one. She's cute, reminds me of
a girl I used to hang out with in my first two years of college, so I guess upon
seeing her I already felt somewhat comfortable with her. She's cool, pretty laid
back and I can tell she's comfortable in her own skin, but her energy feels very
low. Hardly smiles, doesn't joke much. I like my girls to be playful and
humorous. Still, she was cool to talk to.

Starting to use more of the playfulness that Vince Kelvin has been teaching. Seriously, it's really making my sets a lot more fun. I enjoy myself more when I do it, and I can see the girl does, too.

At some point a brunette in the group in polka dots sits down next to me. We
chat it up about how disgusting American cheese is, the London riots, driving in
America vs. London, and such nonsense. She was cute but I wasn't in as sexual a
frame as I'd've liked to be. Still, I maintain good kino with her, and she
responds fairly positively. By the end of the night we had a good vibe going,
very solidly in comfort. There was a degree of attraction there, too. Nothing
overpowering, but it has potential.

At one point I tell her we should swap accents for the night. I butcher an English accent and she winces. I tell her to give me her American accent. Soon as she opens her mouth I could've sworn I was talking to some spunky little girl from LA. I respectfully conceded she won the battle, but the war was not over.

A number close at the least was given. If I had sexualized things more I could
have gone for the kiss.

They're going to be in San Diego around the same time we will be, so the lot of
us are going to probably meet up with them again. I'll have to be a lot more
sexual with her if I don't want the whole thing to go platonic, but considering
how fast I'm catching back up to where I used to be I don't think it'll be a
problem.
