Wow. I had a valuable experience tonight. I was trying to ignore the sounds of a party nearby when the adventure began. When it comes to noise though, my philosophy is "If you can't beat them, join them", so I wandered down to check it out.

It was a 21st party and the girls were pretty cute and reasonably responsive. There was one HB9 (probably 8 not dressed up), and some 8s and 7s. Their boyfriends... hmmm. Their boyfriends were men's men, which is fine, but they got upset pretty easily when I talked with the girls. God only know why - I wasn't getting that much attention, and I did make a genuine effort to talk to the guys too.

It must be AMOG instinct. Pretty soon one of them was asking me to leave, then telling me to leave, then threatening me. I checked in with some of the girls and they seemed okay, but reluctant to interfere. Seeing this must have angered the guys, because two AMOGs then teamed up against me. I don't like fighting and couldn't come up with anything to placate them so I figured it really was time to go.

I left slowly and two of the girls followed, acting very upset with me. Bad feelings are not nice, whether they are fake or real, and I don't want that, so I asked if they were okay and got a grumbled "yes". They replied. That's cool, they were okay.

As I passed the group again from outside the venue I lamented on the terrible music they were playing. How could 21 year olds have such bad taste? Sigh. I doubled back to ask when they were going to switch it off, and the AMOGs took it as a signal to escalate their aggression. They approached me and I got a lot of "I'm going to kick you in the head", "just leave now", and that sort of thing, but nothing about the music (although, I was quite curious as to how I was going to get kicked in the head by someone shorter than me and smoking a cigarette on the other side of the fence).

To cut a long story short, one of the AMOGs jumped the fence, did a bit of a display of pushing and tough guy stuff before the Pacifier came in. He did a good job even though he was really pissed off at me. Actually, he was a star, because he really cared about the girls having a good time. I like guys like that. The AMOGs just wanted to fight.

We parted and the music was turned off as they made plans to venue shift.

I didn't get any number closes this evening so I suppose the AMOGs won their game. They kept their girls right? Although I don't think their girls are very happy with them right now. We all lost, but I will treasure the brief moments of attraction and smiles I got from the prettiest girl when we had a chance to chat amidst the politics. She was cool, carefree and creative and made her friends wait while she talked to me.

Those are the moments I live for.

I'm with you, one hundred and ten percent on that one, a girl smiling, you know you got attraction, it's almost magical in essence, when you are successful for a night of gaming, getting girls numbers, maybe even kiss closing? The drive home, or going home that night, (If you do) is always an excellent feeling.

I experienced last night, and I'm hoping I experience it tonight.
