At my school's gym today I decided to start talking to a HB who worked at the Massage/Nutrition offic of my gym. As I walked by the room I casually poked my head around the corner and asked if she did the massages

HB: *Laughs* No, no we have professionals come in and do that stuff.
Me: Ohhh I see, hey, I notice you don't have the vest on that everyone wheres who works here. What is up with that?

She goes on the show that the vest was behind her and it was the weekend so she didn't really care about wearing it right now. I teased her a bit and told her she was gonna probably get in trouble or maybe I should report her. I transitioned to asking her if she liked working here and talked about how when I worked at my gym I just did homework and got paid for it. She agreed and said how it helps her get up earlier instead of staying at home all day and watching grey's anatomy. She asked if I watched that. I laughed and asked if I looked like a guy who watches Grey's. She told me not to be embaressed about it. We spoke more about what we did the night before and then I excused myself. It went well I thought. I really concentrated on my tonality (speaking from my chest) and my body language (shoulder slighty back and not leaning forward). I think I might have started speaking too fast. Something I still need to work on.

I came back later and told her I had to do some cardio before I left and we started talking about bars again and sleazy guys at this one in particular. Then I asked her name finally (don't know, but I was kinda eager) It was something Thai so I said that was exotic. We talked about Thai food and whatnot and then about cooking in general. She said she didn't know how to cook but her mom did so I tried to convince her to learn. It was going well, but I was kind of in a hurry so I said it was nice to meet her. She asked my name and I told her. I said I enjoyed are conversation and asked if there was anyway we could continue it later. She kinda smiled and was like ehhh sorry, I have a boyfriend. I smiled and said "well he sounds great, nice to meet you still" I left.

I am mainly just glad I approached her since I've been having beginners approach anxiety with cold approaches. I just want to be sure I have some stacked material ready for whatever before I move in incase the conversation doesn't flow itself. I came prepared with the business about the massage and her not wearing her vest. After that it seamed to go well. Day game is hard and it would have been difficult and awkward to stick around the 20-45 minutes people say you need to make a #close. ANy advice and input is appreciated. Peace!

Still Strugglin'

I suppose I could have went that route. I guess it is just a mental block for me. I will see this girl at the gym again most likely and I didn't want to come off like a dick. I guess that maybe that isn't really so dickheaded and more just C/F, but there is a thin line and different people see things differently (the girl I mean). I probably came off as a AFC to her at times. I think I was too interested in our conversation and it might have been obvious it was more than just a casual meeting. I really need to work on that. I now have to remain confident in front of her when I see her again since she rejected me and I hope I can pull it off.

Another problem I have is with regards to canned routines. As a beginner should I use till I develop more natural flow or just try to develop simple game plans of my own when starting and continuing a convo. THanks.
