this was a weird encounter because i can't actually remember if i used any pick-up related concepts when talking to her but anyways here goes.
I'm waiting at my train station to get to university
(i'll use "uni" from now on cos its shorter lol), and i notice this girl, hb8 i would say. Anyways we get on the train, but she gets onto a different part of the train so i don't see her till we get off. So we get off and i see her get off too, this is flinders st station and mostly everyone gets off here lol, so i didn't think there was anything weird about that, but i go onto another platform to catch the connecting train that takes me to uni and soon enough i see her standing on the same platform aswell. I get on the train and get off at my uni's stop, she gets off too. For some reason i found this weird. So as we're crossing the street i go up next to her and this is how the conversation went:
ME: Are we stalking each other or something?
(said with a non-creepy smile lol)
HB8: Sorry?
(removes headphones from ears)
ME:
(kind of laughing) are we stalking each other? cos we got on and off at all the same stations
HB8:
(laughs) yehh i was gonna say something, it's kinda weird
(i'm pretty sure she didn't mean weird as in creepy lol)
ME: yehh its very rare to find someone that comes to this uni from that area of melbourne
HB8: i know, tell me about it. All my friends here can't believe i travel so far just for uni.
ME: yehh it is actually pretty far but you get used to it. So what's your name?
HB8: Its "HB8"
(LOL not gonna use real names) but people usually call me "HB8's nickname", what's yours?
ME: ohh ok cool, well "HB8's nickname" my name is "rename".
HB8: ohh ok well nice to meet you "rename".
ME: same here "HB8's nickname", so what high school u from?
HB8: blah blah
(she told me she comes from a country town)
So i neg her about being a country girl in the big city and then she asks me what im studying
(that usual crap).
Then we get to the point where she has to enter a building and i don't
(cos she had a class in there and i didn't lol)
We stop at the entrance and she tells me that she's gotta go, but she doesn't leave straight away, she just stands there for a second
(i could tell she was waiting for me to get some kind of contact details from her). So i say to her "well here enter your number in my phone cos i gotta go to the library". And as she does so i notice she has the same phone as me cos she was holding it in her hand, and i say “wow we both have the iphone” and she’s like “yehh we must be twins”, and i say “yes......somehow”, which makes her giggle lol. Anyway she puts her number and name in but she doesn't put just her first name in there, her last name aswell and as she's walking away she tells me to add her on facebook.
I know what you’re thinking, this doesn’t sound like a conversation that would go for less than 2 minutes, but it did cos the time it takes to walk from the train station to uni is like 1 minute and we barely made it into the main part of the campus before we parted ways.
