This shop i work in has an mp3/ipod docking station (speakers) which staff can use to play their own music. This girl i work with complimented my music. Later my shift came to an end and she asks me if i could leave my mp3 player behind so she could continue listening to it. I tell her i need something to listen to on the way home but i'll be bringing it in another day.

Was that a shit test which she gave me in order to test my limits of generosity? Secondly should i have given a more direct no instead of making an (valid) excuse and also saying i'll bring it in another day.

Regardless...if it WAS a shit test, then you passed. There is no such thing as a shit test for generosity. A shit test is supposed to see if u will put up with her shit. She asked you to jump through a hope (leave ur ipod) and you said no. That was the right thing to do, if you thought it was a shit test.

BUT..if it was just a normal thing, then you either are an ass for not leaving ur shit, or don't trust her to not steal ur ipod. Maybe she wanted an excuse to meet up with u after her shift, to return it?

Let give you guys some info on this girl, shes not ur bitchy type and she doen'nt go clubbing alot, she likes books (which is partly why i like her).

In fact, she gave me another shit test on the same day.

She asked me to suggest (for her lunch break) a food which is healthy, cheap and will fill her up for the rest of her shift ( i know ), i didn't have an answer immiedietly and for which she said i was useless lol.
