hey im new to this, any advice would be great.

so ive been walking around campus saying hi to everyone to work on my AA and its not bad. i still gotta work on openers and all that. a couple of weeks ago i was with my friend and we walked by a club booth and they were trying to get people to join their club. they were all girls and most of em were ugly and big, except for this latina and a blonde girl. i thought eh, lets talk and bullshit around and see if i got anywhere. in introduced myself to the latina chick first and then to the rest of them. there was six or seven of them so i forgot all of their names. so i talk to the latina blah blah blah. she gave me a flier, i filled out the info and she told me i should come to the meeting.

since ive been reading this forum ive been pretty open to doing things i wouldnt do so i decided that itll be a good opportunity to meet people and network. the meeting was boring as hell, maybe only 20 people showed up. it was about 9 at night and i had been at school since 8am so i wanted to get outta there, drive home and fall asleep. the meeting ends and as i was walking out and the latin chick starts walking up to me and says "hey you came!" all excited and stuff, i thought she was talking to someone else so i looked all confused and weirded out. so we started talking.

L: hey you came!
Me: haha i thought you were talking to someone else. yea i came, i thought it wouldnt hurt to check it out. plus yall had free pizza!
L: so are you gonna join?
Me: nahh im not sure yet. it seems really fun but my friend is gonna join.
she tells my friend he should make me join. my friend smiles and doesnt say anything.
i tell her maybe ill change my mind next time i see her. then we leave.

so i find out her name only because she was wearing a name tag and she's the vice president of the club. it seems like she was giving me iois because she remembered my name and ran up to me when i was walking out to talk to me..or it couldve been one of those "hired guns" things because she was trying to get me to join. idk. so if you guys read this any kind of feedback would be great.
