I saw a 2 set smoking by the back door of the bar (lots of outside bars here). They were a blonde 9 and a blonde 8. The 8 gave me a smoke and a light (I don't usually smoke, but when it helps, it helps), and I ran a variation of Style's jealous girlfriend opener. I used names like John and Mary, got interesting conversation out of it, but eventually, I got stuck. After the conversation was done, I couldn't think of a way to transition.

What should I do to hook them so that they want me to stick around?
