Last night went to a bar with a few friends in Chicago called Mother's by Rush and Division. This is the second time I had been there and I was out to have a good time. It was myself, my buddies TJ, Texas, Nick and his GF. Mother's is an all purpose bar which has beer pong tables, a karaoke and a dance floor in the back. I start the night off playing two games of beer pong with the friends. Lost both games (I have been out of college for seven months and it just wasn't something I do much.) I decide after beer pong I would scope the place out aka go "birddogging for chicks" (if you've seen the Chris Farley skit you'll know what that means) Go to order a drink at the bar and get into a short conversation with some dude about the beer I ordered. All of a sudden his HB8 sister shows us up. I open her and get into a conversation about singing karaoke. She tells me she is singing "Sweet Home Alabama" with a few of her friends. She makes a comment about how she likes my glasses (I would hear this all night. Apparently my Dolce and Gabana glasses is my best peacock accessory) My friend TJ comes by and asks me to play another game of beer pong. I tell her nice to meet her and eject seeing as the convo wasn't really going anywhere. Half way through the game, I see HB8sister again walking by and I make the comment "Are you stalking me? Because that would be sexy!" (Heard it Van Wilder and it usually gets a good response) She asks me what I'm playing and I say its beer pong. She'd never played it before which I found a bit odd but alright. I left her take two of my turns and she seems to enjoy it. However, she soon bails and I dont see her the rest of the night.

I leave beer pong to find more sets to open. I open a 3 set with the Ryan Stock opener "you guys seemed cool. I thought I would come say hi" They seem to open well and I got into a convo w/ HB7 about school and other fluff. We develop a secret handshake in the process and hug out but nothing happens after that so I eject.

Go back to the beer pong tables and get into a convo w/ a dude named Demetri. Long story short we end up winging each other and go the dancefloor. We try to open a 2 set with HB8s but they don't bite. We move on from that set and end up getting a comment from a HB7.5 about glasses. I begin talking her as well as my wingman Demetri. Her huge friend comes by and begins talking with us as well. I ask HB7.5 to dance and my wingman tells me to seal the deal. We're on the dancefloor bumpin n grindin and after 5 minutes we are making out (the strength of my game seems to be on the dancefloor) In the middle of the make out session, my buddy Texas taps me on the shoulder to karaoke. I take HB7.5 w/ me to have her watch me sing. After singing Boyz n Da Hood by Dyanimite Hack, her and I went back to the dancefloor area and we holding hands and making out every now and then. Throughout most of the night, we acted like we were couple. Here is where everything goes wrong.

Her huge friend and her husband get kicked out by a bartender which has conflicted about coming back in to the bar. I was going to number close to get a Day 2 but the girl did not remember my name so I ejected.

My problem seems to be lately that I can 80% of the time make out with a girl I meet within 30 minutes of meeting her. I get the number close but it always turns out to be a flake. I read Tyler Durden's post about making out in clubs and it made all the sense in the world to me in that anyone could do 90% of the time so its not something to brag about. My intention whenever I go out to bars is at least to attempt a one night stand or same night lay. Right now, I'm not looking for anything serious.

So could anyone offer their two cents about your techniques about getting a same night lay?
